Donna Dougherty asks:
I'm considering have laser treatment to remove the lines above my lip area and chin. I'm interested in the fractionated CO2 laser, which my dermatologist recommended. My fear is getting burned and left with scars. Years ago I had a chemical peel done by a plastic surgeon. The peel left me burned all around my mouth and chin and it took months to heal. My skin is very pale and I am half Irish. What would you suggest? Donna Dougherty

Co2 laser is a good procedure when done under the right circumstances. I would try botox and fillers first though. They are less invasive and you can see if you like the results. If the results are desirable then speaking one on one with a plastic surgeon for more options would be the next step. Good luck and thank you for your email.
