I began having spider veins break when I was a teenager, primarily in my ankles, although there are a few scattered across my thighs (those aren't bothersome). My ankles look HORRIBLE! They aren't so bad if I get a really deep tan, but then I run the risk of skin cancer. I find the whole notion of spray-on tans messy and time-consuming. What is the best way to treat spider veins? Is it costly and do they return once treated?

Thank you for your question about spider veins. Both the ND Yag laser and sclerotherapy (injections) can fade spider veins. Spider veins can return. Cost depends on how much time is needed. Three to six treatments are common. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
