    It might be. A preapproval request with photos and a letter from your plastic surgeon prior to surgery should answer the question.

    There is no sure answer other than it is your insurance and it is up to you to find out from your insurance company. But many say yes at first and then deny it as being cosmetic, so don’t bet on it.

    Usually you would have to fail a field visual test in order to have this covered by insurance. Otherwise it is concidered a cosmetic procedure.
