After having fat remove from chin, how long before swelling goes down and you see results? Have worn compression chin strap for almost 4 weeks.

The length of swelling is related to the amount of fat you had removed. Many patients see much of the swelling subside in about three weeks. Some patients report two to three months before they really notice the results of the procedure, with some reporting as long as six months. Continue to wear your chin strap. Should you not notice a significant change after several months, see your surgeon for an evaluation

I assume you are talking about the area of the neck under the chin. Liposuction of this area would be most reasonable reason to be wearing the chin strap. If this is the case, you should have had almost immediate improvement with shoe had minimal amounts of fat present. By 4 weeks the majority of the swelling should have resolved, although a mild amount of swelling lasts for several months. If you are still having significant swelling, I would discuss this with your surgeon or seek a second opinion.
