Generally scars located between your belly button and the pubic line are removed, however it is important to know that the skin is tapered on the sides. The further you move from the middle of your abdomen out toward your hips, the less amount of skin removed.

Hello and thank you for your question. During a full Tummy Tuck procedure, all the skin from your belly button to your pubic bone is removed, so in answer to your question, if you has scars in that region they should have been removed.

Generally all of your scars would be removed. Abdominoplasty is designed to not only tighten your muscles but remove stretch marks ansd unsightly scarring below your belly button.

This is best to discuss with your physician. It depends where the scars are located and the amount of skin laxity that you had preoperatively. Having an abdominoplasty is NO guarantee that the scars can be removed.
