I’m 44 years old I’ve had cervical cancer and due to that I’ve had a hysterectomy .. I’ve been trying everything to get rid of my muffin top. I also have a titanium cage in my back. Crunches are so painful. I try and run at least the times a week. Nothing helps my very embarrassing muffin top. I need advice or help?

I totally understand your concern about “muffin tops” and agree that they can be exceptionally difficult to get rid of particularly if you are in a condition which limits your activity. When diet and exercise are not successful, then liposuction can be an appropriate alternative. Whether or not it is appropriate for you is the key question and for that answer I would have to recommend you visit with a plastic surgeon who can evaluate you specifically and check your skin tone to see if some form of liposuction would be a good option and what your alternatives are. Just so you are aware, muffin tops are one of the very common sites where liposuction does make a difference.

Please find a local plastic surgeon who you can consult with. Muffin tops can be caused by excess skin, excess fat, or other musculoskeletal issues. Your consult should allow the surgeon to see what you are concerned about and give him/her the opportunity to present options to you from which you can choose what is best for your situation.
