I’m a 57 y/o women that has taken very good care of my skin, and look younger than my years. The aforementioned said, I’m starting to develop “pads of fat,” or sagging of skin beneath my eyes. This sagging skin is right below the orbital bone (between the start of my cheek bone, and the end of the orbital bone). Is there anything that can be done to remove these unsightly protrusions as they are getting worse. Also, I have the skin on my brow bone starting to sag – I’d like to take care of both problems with one surgery, if possible. Thank you…

Eyelid surgery, when expertly performed can provide a youthful, natural look to the eyes. All too often, eyelid surgery can leave the eyelids looking hollow. This result can make a person look much oder than their years, and it can be quite uncomfortable. Look for a plastic surgeon who can provide many, many before and after images of eyelid rejuvenation surgery and natural looking fat grafting. The best result for surgery will not look like surgery, it will just leave you looking great.

It sounds like you would benefit from a lower blepharoplasty and a brow lift. Both can be done at the same time. You should first consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to determine the appropriate course of action.

Dear Anonymous It is difficult to ascertain from your question, of course without a photograph, what the real problem is.: If is the lower eyelid the problem can be solved with a “Lower blepharoplasty” which is a surgery of the lower eyelid. On the other hand if it is slightly lower, it is more of a mid-face problem. Both scenarios can be significantly improved surgically. Please access my website for the full information and conatac us with photographs so I can explain the procedure in greater detail Best regrds,
