Hello, I had upper eyelid lift 5 days ago. I’m freaking out as my eye shape looks round and my eyes look cross sided when you look at them, I’m freaking out!!! Please tell me my eye shape will return back to normal after all the swelling has gone away! I look at myself and its very depressing and don’t feel and look like myself. I have an appointment with my plastic surgeon coming up and this are questions that I will address, but I just want some input from other surgeons. Thank you!

Five days following surgery is early to try and evaluate results. Swelling from the trauma of surgery can make you look a bit frightening but is certainly something I would want and expect you to bring up with your surgeon. That surgeon can give you the best estimate of whether how you look is what they were expecting for this time frame. Most often, early appearance is not what you would expect to look like long term.
