Nancy Goodman asks:
I am at a normal weight but my upper arms are flabby. I would love to tighten them up. What is the least invasive method? Can an arm lift be done through the armpit instead of running down the arm?

There are a number of options available for tightening upper arms, including non-invasive methods (radiofrequency, laser) and surgery such as liposuction and brachioplasty. Depending on how much excess skin and/or fat you have, the quality and tone of your skin, and what results you hope to achieve, these may or may not be optimal treatments for you. Sometimes a combination of procedures is indicated. In some patients with minimal skin redundancy a brachioplasty may be performed with a single incision in the armpit.

You may be a candidate for laser liposuction (SmartLipo) of the arms. This leaves minimal tiny entry scars. Also a mini brachioplasty can be done in selected patients with a scar in the underarm area only.
