03July   {Test This} Ladycare Menopause Device

————————————————————————————---------------------------------------—————

It sounds attractive--a palm-sized magnetic device that clips discreetly to your underwear, repels symptoms of menopause. But, does it actually work?

According to the website for Ladycare (retail value: $45), “over 300,000 women worldwide use the product.” In a study of policewomen in the UK who used LadyCare, “over 71% reported alleviation of their menopause symptoms one month after wearing the device continuously.” These symptoms include hot flashes, sudden weight gain, fatigue, trouble sleeping and loss of libido.

The company says the product works by “rebalancing the autonomic nervous system” in turn “improving the body’s ability to self heal and restore natural hormone balance.”

“Over 300,000 women use the product worldwide,” according to the company website and just recently, they’ve launched the product in the U.S. 50 FOFs will be among the first in the country to try it.

For FOFs looking for a natural, drug-free solution to their menopause woes--this might just be it.

Sounds attractive--let’s see how it works. 50 FOFs will put Ladycare to the test.

For a chance to win, answer in the comments below: "Are you going through menopause now? If not, at what age did you experience it?"

Note: For best results from this product: Testers should experience a minimum of 4 hot flashes per day.

Have you looked into Femarelle? It is a complete natural product that is soy and flaxseed. You might be interested to note that this product is being recommended by OB/GYN types. Look into it online!

I am new to the transition. I will be 49 in a couple of months. I have not discussed any therapies with my doctor as of yet but I will most certainly like to try something that is nature vs taking medication. The weight gain – low libido – and adult acne are the pits!

Would love to try it. I have been having severe hot flashes for about 6 yrs now. I believe they were caused early from my thyroid removal. Within 10 mins of taking my first synthroid the hot flashes started & have plagued me ever since. I am almost 53 now. I pray for relief.

When I told my husband about this device (laughing as I did) he said to me “Julie, you would spend $50 to try to manage your hot flashes, right?” Because of an estrogen responsive breast cancer diagnosis I am not able to have hormones of any kind. It’s been this way since I was 47 — I’m 51 now — and I’m on medication to try and manage them. I would love to try this device as getting off as many medications as possible would be great for me…Seriously — how much more persuasive can I get?!

I’ll be 51 this year and have just suffered through it rather than take anything. I am adamant about going the natural route but the worst is not so much the annoying hot flashes (even in L.A. constant heat), but the sleep deprivation (waking up). Would love to find a natural alternative that works, but for now it’s a rule to always dress in layers!

However, in the last year, I have been bombarded by all of the typical symptoms, including several hot flashes per day. I am also a very high energy person and have experience more fatigue, especially days when the number of hot flashes has been very high. I started menopause at 48 and now I’m 55 and the hotflashes are still running rampant. Went as far as taking the radiator out of the bedroom )my husband is sleeping in the other bedroom since) and still sweating like crazy, tossing and turning, sheets soaking wet. Most nights I don’t sleep at all, especially in this NYC heat. I live in the frozen food section of supermarkets to get all around cooling.

Yes, I am going through menopause and if I only had four hotflashes a day I would be in heaven. I use all-natural progesteone cream which helps with mood issues, but hot flashes are another story. I can’t use all the different preparations at the health food store because they have soy in them and I’m allergic to soy. It would be wonderful to try something where allergies are not an issue–I have to read the progesterone cream labels carefully, too.

My symptoms started in 1993 at the age of 46. I tried conventional HRT and was on it probably way too long. I then tried natural HRT which worked for awhile. After some time, I then discontinued use of it too. With the weight gain, lack of sleep, hot flashes of varying degrees and kinds, and the hormonal races, I finally went on a mild anti depressant and use Estrace and oh yeah, Ambien, they have helped. I would, however, love to get off of them and try something natural. I am now 63 and guess that I will be one of the unlucky few that will have them the rest of my life. Please help!!!

I went through menopause 4 years ago at 54. Still have hot flashes and night sweats. My mother is 82 is still having them so I doubt mine will stop any time soon. More important, I am a huge believer in magnets. I use therapeutic magnets for back pain and to reduce bruising or swelling after soft tissue injury. They work!! I would love to try this as I have been wondering about magnets and hot flashes.

I am there and have been here for a while. Wow! This sounds too good to be true! I am so tired of feeling so hot that I might explode, or my hair being soaking wet from the roots to an inch away from the scalp, and throwing bed-covers then pulling them back up all night long. I’m sure that my husband would really get excited about me getting my libido restored!

I went through menopause for 6 years of misery without HRT – trying in vain to find a natural product that would work. Finally began HRT when I couldn’t take the hot flashes (every 45 mins, 24 hrs a day) and mood swings. Then I went off for a year when I didn’t have insurance coverage. Hot flashes came back immediately. Finally regained my insurance and was able to go back on HRT. My GYN would love me to stop HRT due to the number of years I’ve taken it, but knows how I suffer. I’d love to try something natural again but fear it won’t work. Please let me try this to find out if, indeed, it will resolve my issues.

Since my early hysterectomy at the age of 39 I have suffered from multiple menopause symptoms, specifically hot flashes. I’ve tried patches which don’t stick to me, gels which irritate my skin and OTC remedies which do very little. I can’t take oral hormones because of arthritis treatments that I receive and how it would effect my liver. So, at the age of 51, I am desperate to find a drug-free remedy that would help me to prevent these awful hot flashes that hit me at all times of the day and night! I had to buy my cats an electric blanket because I have the A/C on in the winter. I buy clothes that I hope my sweating won’t show thru. The women in the office w/me wear their winter coats & use portable heaters! I have tried everything I can get my hands on & nothing helps. My Dr. is in her early 30′s & hasn’t had the pleasure of experiencing a hot flash so she will not consider giving me anything. I started going thru the change in my mid 30′s & it hasn’t slacked off yet. My mother & her mother & sisters started early. I keep looking for an end in sight but nothing yet! Alas, I’ve been cut off! My skin’s showing my age and the mid-section fat I never got while on HRT has taken up residence. The hot flashes, night sweats and mood swings aren’t as intense, but they’re still there! Pick me! Pick me!!

I had a forced menopause at age 46 due to a hysterectomy. All was taken, including ovaries. Was on oral hormone replacement for several years, but due to high level of breast cancer in my family (and more than a few biopsy “scares” in me) my doctor recommended I go off oral estrogen. Now just use it “down there” for dryness but not enough to keep the night sweats, fatigue, loss of libido in check. This would be a Godsend and would definitely love to try it ! Pleeeeze !!

I am now 43 and have been experiencing menopause since I was 38 due to surgery. I wore the hormone patch for a few years and decided to give my body a break. That’s when I found out the hormone patch was making my endometriosis spread to my kidney and bladder. I’ve since had surgery to scrape the endometriosis after taking treatment of lupron for six months and eventually having to wear a stint in my ureter for five months. I have hot flashes at least 6 or 7 times a day. At night I can barely get any sleep because I wake up four or five times during the night from being drenched in sweat. I would love to give this a try since nothing else I’ve tried such as Black Cohosh, Estroven, nor Remifenin seem to help. I wonder how much longer will I have to go through this.

So, I guess aim saying that I would be a great test subject, I am 50 and in my third year without a period.

I began menopause at age 28 after radiation treatments for a cancerous tumor in my cervix. The radiation killed my organs and even melted my bladder into the cervix. 8 years later, I experienced the same cancer and had a total exaneration including removal of the bladder. Now at age 53, my hot flashes are more fierce and frequent than before. I not only wake up every 21/2 hours to catherize, i wake up in between these hours because of the extensive heat that takes over my body. I definately welcome anything that can alleviate or take these espisodes away.

Just like all these other ladies, what I wouldn’t give for a night’s sleep without waking 5-6 times so hot you begin to cough your head off (which only compounds the problem to begin with)!
Could all/some of my problems go away/diminish with this little product? I’d love to let you know. Thanks.

Pick me and I will be your best friend forever!! I am so tired of my hair being wet when I am trying to look nice. I am tired of my pillow being wet when I wake up in the morning. I am tired of taking a shower in the morning and needing another one if I want to still look decent that night. I’m tired of my face always being red from being hot. This has been going on for four years now, and I am just trying to survive it – no meds for me. Help me enjoy my life!!!!!!!!!!

If this device really works, it will be a bestseller! I would love to giveLadycare a try. I have been in peri-menopause for about 3 years now and sliding into full menopause. The symptoms are no joke. They really disrupt your life. I will not do drugs but like most of the people here want to take care of this naturally. Thanks!

I started menopause at the age of 40. I was on HRT Therapy for 15 years and had no trouble with hot flashes and night sweats. That was 10 years ago! Since then, I have suffered through HOT Flashes that leave me dripping, rivulets of sweat running down my scalp, really flushed, red face! Then there are the night sweats when I am drenched in sweat and the heat radiates off my body. My husband hates it. I’ll tell you..it’s a turn off /for him. not very romantic cuddling a sweaty, flushed, wet scalp and hair wife.! PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE let me try this! I am DESPERATE. I have tried ALL of the remedies . THEY DON’t WORK for moi!!!! If necessary,I’ll sign off our first born lol! Course she ‘s married and has a couple of kids and a husband; but whatever! just kidding but I am really in need of relief!! thank you.

I’m 55 and have just in the last 6 months begun to have the beginnings of perimenopausal/menopausal symptoms. I have night sweats that are not too bad and very dry hot flashes during the day that are incredibly intense and uncomfortable. I’m not a candidate for HRT and have been using chastetree, black cohosh, DIM, and a few other supplements which give some relief of symptoms (but are kind of harsh to my GI tract.) These devices are cute & I think I’ll buy them for holiday gifts for all my transitioning girlfriends!

I had no signs of impending meno-pause! Then our youngest so was diagnosed with a terminal illness and I was thrown into what doctors called “trauma-induced menopause”. It’s been severe and has lasted over ten years. The hot flashes prevent sleep, interfere with daily activities and make miserable. Hormone replacement did nothing but lead to gall-bladder surgery! (Yes, I found out later, that’s a side effect!). I don’t hold out much hope for a “quick fix” but I’d love to give it a try!!!!

I have been menopausal for about 5 years. I have had hot flashed so severe that I could not sleep through the night for YEARS!!! It was agonizing. I tried about everything, Harmone replacement, a variety of prescription drugs; spent thousands on pills off the internet. At LONG LAST I found an over the counter product that WORKS, it is Estroven night supplements. I have been using this product for about a month. It is heavenly to actually SLEEP all night long. I still have the flashes during the day, but at least I have my energy back and I am not grouchy and dingy from lack of sleep. The product is reasonably priced too!

Thank you to LADYCARE, for giving myself and these special la
dies a forum to ‘open-up’ and share our
menopause moments! Turns out, I might not be crazy after all!! Well, here’s my story, once I get started, I might not be able to stop!
I have worked in healthcare (nurse) for over 20 years, have great respect and highly value holistic medicine, as an adjunctive combination with mainstream medicine, and as an alternative to mainstream medicine. Historically, a lifetime Non-Complainer- blessed with an overwhelming “cup half full” ability to adapt & take my personal health concerns in stride, rarely suffering more than the occaisional common cold, I’ve been an active, healthy person, even though, since the age of two years, I have had only one functioning kidney! Born with two, (I had a minor anatomical anomaly to one organ, resulting in loss of function of the organ). Athletic, from the time I could walk, loss of one kidney– never slowed me down!!I have always tried to take care of my working kidney, example: medications are metabolized in part by the kidneys, I try to avoid frivolous use (PRN over the counter, etc..) preferring a natural holistic approach to my healthcare if possible, which has worked well for me in the past. UNTIL NOW!
Menopause has not been kind to me. DAILY, I suffer such severe ‘hot flashes’ and sometimes I swear they are continuous! Not that it makes a diff, but, living in the great state of Texas, WE DO GOTS HEAT!! While geographical location might add insult to injury, I believe my ‘Hot Flashes’ would occur, if I was ‘brain-freeze’ CHUGGIN A SLURPEE, while frozen in the Titanic ICEBERG, just sayin!? Did you know, your kidneys also help to modulate and maintain body core temperature?Bonus: I have to be extra careful in situations of extreme heat) STRIKE ONE-Once elevated, my body core temperature takes longer to stabilize, putting me at higher risk for heat related illness. STRIKE TWO- I sweat less than the average person, reducing another way of cooling body heat. Once overheated, I often become, nauseous, disoriented, and have (STRIKE THREE-)passed out (not fun at parties!) on more than one occasion! Seems confining, huh? In the past, always easily handled, with preparedness and avoidance! for example: At the beach, I have plenty of ICE AND COLD WATER, on hand, but if needed, can retreat to an air conditioned space, submerge in the ocean, or dump ice water on my head, to quickly reduce body temp! My point is I can plan for it. Hot Flashes—not scheduled, occur at any time, and that makes it difficult to stay prepared, and/or have a life!
ONWARD AND UPWARD,syptomatically speaking…I have gained about 35 pounds, and despite increase of exercise or decrease in eating habits, CAN NOT lose the blubbler!
Speaking of Blubber, OMG, anything and nothing can jump start a rousing round of tears!
The flip side, losing my (formally rarely aroused) temper, spontaneously, without provocation.
Aroused? yeah, that word not in my vocabulary. Body image (UGH) surely factors into the equation, but de-sire, is de-ceased, not just de-laid, oops de-layed at Me Casa!
    Anxiety..???I got it, …level –HIGH!
Sleep? Been so dang long, seems like a distant dream— only NOT THE KIND YOU WAKE UP FROM!
Ewww–Is THAT MY SKIN? How did all these dry patches,, and wrinkles suddenly just appear? Calgon, grab Botox and TAKE ME AWAY, or at least disguise me!
I am on pins and needles, (at least that’s what my feet’s feels) desparately awaiting the next wave of menapause menaces, with great eagerness! So would I like to be one of the winners selected to trial a Ladycare magnet alternative approach to reduce menopause related symptoms???
AB-SO-LUTELY!!!! I know magnets can achieve some remarkable results. I’ve seen pain and range of motion improve in limb contracture. Resolution of plantar fascial pain. Reduction of edema, and some pretty impressive healing in chronic wounds. So, I am confident magnets can manage to put the hurt on some menopause menaces!
