Fragrance bracelets (retail value: $65), launched late last year by Lisa Hoffman (wife of A-lister, Dustin Hoffman), are marketed as “a new way to wear perfume that puts you in control...on when you want and off just as easily.”
The bracelets come in five different color/scent combinations (Japanese Agarwood, Madagascar Orchid, Tuscan Fig, Tunisian Neroli and French Clary Sage). Each has a round charm that holds a fragrance bead. The beads can be replaced when the scent fades.
“As we age, we are more apt to develop sensitivities and allergies,” says Lisa. “I can’t tell you how many times women approach me and are so thankful they can actually wear fragrance without it touching their skin.”

How timely! I recently applied a scent that I used to wear. What a difference menopause makes…it smelled terrible! I vowed never to wear it again, and repurposed it to my daughter to see if her skin reaction was better. This is the answer to the meds/menopause skin scent dilemma (perhaps)

I think this is a brilliant idea for traveling! Perfumes are discouraged on planes because of some people’s sensitivity but this would allow you to take off the bracelet, drop it into the ziplock already in your purse for liquids and go!

I have a super-sensitive nose, my family tells me I have “the Kelly nose,” so perhaps that is the reason. It has been years since I wore any perfume because I can’t get it off me when I encounter other smells — it gets really overwhelming sometimes. This seems like a great opportunity to see if something like this would work for the super-sensitive folks like me.

HI, Wearing perfume always makes me feel pretty and what FOF doesn’t want to feel pretty? Anyway, I’m a nurse in a physician’s office, so I can wear some perfume and some jewelry;however, some patient’s are allergic to perfumes and it would be so nice to be able to feel pretty and yet be professional. Great idea!
What a great idea! Due to allergies, I have to wear perfume low – none on neck area. So I just spray wrists and back of knees. These bracelets would give wonderful control. I would love to try them – especially the Japanese Agarwood and the Madagascar Orchid.

I always fell pretty when I wear perfume, and what FOF doesn’t want to feel pretty. I am also an RN in a physicisn’s office. Often my patients are sensitive to perfume. What a flawless idea…to be able to feel pretty and to be able to remove whenever necessary. Wonderful idea!

I work with the general public on a daily basis and co-workers, some of whom are sensitive to fragrance. But wearing fragrance is as essential to me as wearing clothes, brushing my teeth and putting on shoes! This would be so much fun to sample and test – being able to put on and take off wonderful fragrance at will. The Tunisian Neroli may be my first choice with the Madagascar Orchid a quick second. But any of them sound just lovely. And being able to refresh the scent when it fades…nice! How fun and the bracelets are lovely! Coordinating pieces like earrings and necklaces available to make an entire ensemble. Way to go, Lisa!

This sounds like another great way to “layer” your scents. Plus, every time I’d move my hands (which is frequently since I’m at the computer all day), I’d get a soft and subtle whiff of fragrance instead of the usual annoyance and aggravation that accompanies my typing!
I think a fragrance bracelet is a brilliant idea. Not only do we develop sensitivities and allergies as we grow older, but I have found that people around me can also be sensitive to certain scents. I think this is such a great idea! I love jewelry, my outfits are not complete without the finishing touches of earrings, rings, bracelets (love stacking!) and a necklace. I think the jewelry and scent in one is a perfect combination, it will help prevent jewelry from tarnishing from spraying regular perfumes on it!

Ingenius for sure! I have always had such a quandry about whether or not to wear perfume to any family event or gathering; as both my Father and Sister suffer from asthma and allergies. This is an awesome idea! I can’t believe someone didn’t think of it sooner. Too many times, we’re caught in a gathering with someone who may be sensitive or allergic or gets migraines from perfumes and we’re unintentionally hurting those around us if we have perfume on. This way, you could have perfume on when it’s safe to do so and remove it when you’re around that sensitive person (especially great at work or at social gatherings). I believe this is a wonderful innovation, especilally for those who are purists and don’t want any fragrance chemicals on their skin yet still yearn for scents that add a subtle hint of one’s mood or personality. For example, those who need some mood uplifting might wear the Tuscan Fig, and someone who wants to exude sensuality might wear the Tunisian neroli. No matter what I would love to test what effects the scent bracelet has on me and on people around me. Hey, maybe LH can expand the scents to carry repellants for creepy guys or bugs.

I would adore being able to test Lisa Hoffman’s Fragrance Bracelets. First of all, I love fragrance but my pet peeve is that the scent goes away to quickly on my skin. This could solve that since I’m wearing it all day, it would give off a wonderful smell all the time. Secondly, I really don’t like spraying perfume all over myself because I get it everywhere and even stain my shirts sometimes. This will fix that also. This is an interesting idea. It reminds me of the pomanders they used to wear in the Middle Ages, except I believe those were used more to mask body odor due to poor hygiene or as “protection” from the plague. Lovely thought. Anyway, what I like about this is that I would also be able to really experience the scent I’m wearing throughout the day. Once I’ve put on my scent, I usually don’t really smell it myself unless I hold my arm/wrist up to my nose – which is a shame because I wear scents because I love them.

I think that is very innovative, I remembering reading about rings and pendants that had a place to scents, this would be awesome and would love to try on of these.

Clever idea fashion scents! Fragrance far enough away from one’s nose to not become sick of smelling it yet close enough to get a fresh whiff from time to time not overpowering…plus it’s a really cute accessory. Charming!
What a fabulous idea. I often get overpowered by spray perfumes and these would be absolutely perfect. It helps that they are adorable too.
I would love to test this product. I love perfume. There is another reason I think it would be cool to test. I know some of my favorite fragrances don’t smell the same on me anymore because of different medications I take. I think this is a neat idea that would eliminate that problem also.
