Fragrance bracelets by Lisa Hoffman Beauty (retail value: $65.00) are marketed as “a new way to wear perfume that puts you in control. [It goes] on when you want, and off just as easily,” according to Lisa Hoffman, wife of A-lister Dustin Hoffman and founder of Lisa Hoffman Beauty.

The bracelets come in five different color/scent combinations, each with a round charm that holds a fragrance bead. The fragrance bead can be replaced when you want to refresh the scent.

[It became] just a little lighter, but when you move your arm around it shakes up the beads and releases this lovely scent.

Was this product comfortable to wear?
A good part of my day is spent on the computer. I found the bangle a little distracting. Otherwise, it was quite comfortable.

Did you like the scent of this product? How long did the scent last?
I loved the Tuscan Fig. The scent lasted about a week.

Did the scent change at all during the time you wore the bracelet?
It didn’t change, but did tend to fade after three or four days.

What was your overall experience with this product?
I wanted to love it. I did like it, but would have preferred to choose a fragrance and bracelet style separately. By having one linked to the other, one must decide whether the fragrance or bracelet style is most important.

Would you purchase this product for $65?  Why or why not?
No. Because it is a product which must continuously be replaced, the original bracelet and bauble should be less expensive.

Would you recommend this product to other FOFs?
Yes, with reservations due to the cost and lack of choice.

Was this product comfortable to wear?
It was very comfortable to wear.  I would wear it with several of my silver bracelets. It added a nice, bohemian touch.

Did you like the scent of this product? How long did the scent last?
I liked the French Clary Sage fragrance but, it didn’t last very long.

Did the scent change at all during the time you wore the bracelet?
The scent didn’t change, just got fainter.

What was your overall experience with this product?
I liked the concept. I would include all the fragrances–a sample pack, so that we can go through the day changing scents as we please.  I would produce the beads and charm in sterling silver [instead of gold].  I wish there were additional charms you could purchase to further customize the bracelet. It would be more individualized, fun and interactive!

Would you purchase this product for $65?  Why or why not?
I would purchase it, if it were in sterling silver and came with more scented wooden beads.

Would you recommend this product to other FOFs?
I would consider recommending it if the changes [I mentioned above] were made.

Yes…no different than any other bracelet.

Yes, [I] could still smell the scent days five and six but [it was] not as strong.

[I] enjoyed wearing it.  We are in mosquito country and they love it when I wear a scent. I could remove the bracelet before going outside in the evening and did not have the [mosquito] attraction.

No. The price is a little high for the amount of beads we received.  A bottled fragrance for the same price would give more product.

Was this product comfortable to wear?
I thought the bracelet was very pretty and comfortable to wear. It was versatile enough to wear with any outfit.

The scent I chose was French Clary Sage, it had a strong hint of citrus and was very pleasant without being overpowering. The scent lasted about four days before I added new beads to the charm.

Did the scent change at all during the time you wore the bracelet?
The scent did not change at all while I wore the bracelet it just became more subdued.

What was your overall experience with this product?
I really liked the scent. It smelled just as I hoped it would. I would say that my overall experience was very favorable.

Would you purchase this product for $65? Why or why not?
I think $65 is a little pricey for this bracelet. It is definitely a quality piece of jewelry and includes a fragrance but I think $45 or $50 is what I would pay for this.

I would recommend this product and I also think it would make a great gift.

The bracelet was very comfortable. [It was] easy to put on and take off with [a] minimum amount of stretch.

The scent was really beautiful but needed to be much more pronounced.

The bracelet was clearly noticeable; it got several admiring glances on the train and at work, but I had to take the locket to their noses for them to experience the aroma.

I would, but it could not replace my perfume. Even though I liked the smell of Neroli, the scent was really too subtle.

Yes! The locket was interesting and if you like gemstones, it would be a good buy, but I wouldn’t purchase it as a perfume replacement.

The more I wore it, the better I liked [it].

I chose the fig scent, it sounded so yummy. And it was–if you held the perfume ball up to your nose and sniffed. The scent was described “light,” but I wanted it to waft around me as I entered a room! It did not give off a strong enough scent. I even changed the balls twice.

No, it did not. It really wasn’t noticeable at all.

I really wanted to love this bracelet! The idea is unique and it looked so pretty in the picture.
The presentation box with its golden bow got me all excited, [however, if] I had paid $65 plus tax and shipping, I would have been very disappointed when I opened the box. I would have judged it to be worth no more than half that amount.

I would buy a second one if it goes on sale.

I can’t say whether or not I recommend this, because my jewelry budget is very low and for many ladies, $65 is an appropriate amount for costume jewelry. But I would definitely encourage everyone to check it out. This is very classy!

The bracelet was comfortable to wear, although I felt it was a little small for my wrist. The addition of a bead or two would have helped.

I really liked all three of the fragrances that were sent. I am sensitive to smells so I started off with two beads.  They still have a smell after two weeks, just not as noticeable.  I added two more beads and it still smells good!

Not that I really noticed.

Very good! I think I would really like the look of having more than one [fragrance bracelet].

No, I would not.  While I think they are attractive, no one noticed the fragrance until I held my wrist up to their noses.

Yes, I would. Having the necklace, earring and bracelet might spread enough of the scent around to be noticed.  Since I have headaches and am scent sensitive, it is a great idea!  I will order more scent beads when I run out because I really like the concept!

[It was] very comfortable. [The] stretchy band slips over the hand, and is very lightweight.

Did you like the scent of this product? How long did the scent last?
I found you can really customize how much scent you get and how long it will last by putting more or fewer scent beads into the ball. With the ball filled to capacity it’s pretty strong, but fades over the day. Mine came with Japanese Agarwood, a very exotic scent, so about three beads was plenty! It also arrived with two other scent samples: Madagascar Orchid, and French Clary Sage. I particularly liked mixing them–one scent bead of each in the ball–which made for a nice combination, and no one scent overpowered.

Did the scent change at all during the time you wore the bracelet?
No changes, just a slight fade over the day.

What was your overall experience with this product?
Love it, [it’s] unique looking and love getting the little waft of scent through the day.

Would you purchase this product for $65? Why or why not?
It’s a little pricey for my budget, although I’ve been considering it because I loved the idea so much! I’d like to get the other bracelet styles, but not at that price.
