{Tested} Derma E Evenly Radiant Night Créme

The makers of Derma E claim their Evenly Radiant Night Crème (retail value: $22.39) will “reduce the look of discoloration and resolve age damage.” They cream is made with exotic ingredients such as Madonna lily, bearberry, niacinamide and licorice, and uses the skin-lightening properties of alpha-arbutin, marketed as an over-the-counter alternative to prescription level skin lighteners.

Nice and smooth.

Did it reduce discoloration?
It evened out my skin tone and [after using] skin was smooth and soft.

What was your overall experience with this product?
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. I could feel it working seconds after applying it. It works better than other products that cost a lot more money. Absolutely loved it.

Maureen Dovin – Exeter, PA

Did you like the fragrance of this product?
Yes, it had a light citrus scent.

What did the product feel like on your skin?
It felt kind of thick and heavy, but it is a night cream, so that was okay. It was absorbed quickly, but left my face feeling kind of dry. It did not leave that silky feeling on my face like many other night creams.

Did it reduce discoloration?
I didn’t notice any change.

Did it brighten and even out your skin tone after 14 days?
I may have noticed a slight difference.

What was your overall experience with this product?
I liked it, but it didn’t blow me away.

Would you purchase this product for $27.95? Why or why not?
I was not impressed enough to purchase the product for that amount.

Would you recommend this product to other FOFs?
I would not recommend this product for an FOF with skin on the dry side.  Otherwise, I would recommend it. I actually thought it firmed up my skin a bit and that wasn’t one of the advertised benefits of the product.

Margaret Pflug – Midway, Arkansas

Did you like the fragrance of this product?
Yes, it smells similar to L’Oreal Youth Code cream.

What did the product feel like on your skin?
Applied easily, takes longer than most to be absorbed, skin initially feels a bit sticky but after a few minutes it feels smooth.

Did it reduce discoloration?
Somewhat.  Barely noticeable.

Did it brighten and even out your skin tone after 14 days?
No.

What was your overall experience with this product?
It was a good moisturizer but did not live up to expectations.

Would you purchase this product for $27.95? Why or why not?
Yes, if it was available locally.  The price per ounce is very close to the L’Oreal product so would like to try it for longer.

Would you recommend this product to other FOFs?
I would not discourage this product’s use, but would caution against expecting discoloration to disappear completely.

Sarah Baldwin – Rockland, ME

Did you like the fragrance of this product?
[I] did not love nor mind the fragrance.

What did the product feel like on your skin?
The product felt thick and pasty on my skin. It didn’t seem to absorb into my skin. It didn’t feel very moisturizing.

Did it reduce discoloration?
Yes, to my surprise it actually seemed to brighten my skin and reduce discoloration.

Did it brighten and even out your skin tone after 14 days?
Yes, it did.

What was your overall experience with this product?
I liked the results, but I didn’t like the way it felt on my skin, and it didn’t offer much as a moisturizer.

Would you purchase this product for $27.95? Why or why not?
I think it is a good value for a product that actually works to brighten and even skin tone. I really like that it is made of natural ingredients and not full of harmful chemicals, but I don’t think it’s a replacement for a good moisturizer to help with dryness.

Would you recommend this product to other FOFs?
Yes, if you are looking for a safe product to brighten skin and reduce discoloration.
