29January   {Test This} Cassis Replenishing Cream




Cassis Ultra Replenishing Cream (retail value: $85) by Naturopathica, a skincare line sold primarily in spas, is formulated with black currant oil. The ingredient is “known to soothe and improve skin resilience,” according to the company. It also contains hyaluronic acid, an ingredient widely used in anti-agers and known for its ability to help skin retain moisture. According to Naturopatica’s website, just apply a “pea-sized amount” to your face morning and night, “to improve elasticity and promote vibrant looking skin.”

We want to know: Is this cream raisin’ skin standards or simply sour grapes?

    I have wrinkles from years of playing tennis and squinting in the sun to see the ball…help :) . I realize that there is nothing that will eliminate these deep wrinkles entirely, yet any improvement would be wonderful! I do have other wrinkles that are more typical as well that I would love to improve. As always, thanks for the opportunity to try new amazing products.

    I have heard rave reviews about the Naturopathica brand and would love to try this cream infused with black current seed oil. Anything high in GLA’s is supposed to really do good things for the skin when used topically or taken internally.

    I’m an earthy girl, and this sounds like something that would make my heart sing! mmmmmm Black currant oil. Doesn’t that sound like it would make you feel so good to apply it to your face? I bet it smells good, too. Would love to test and let everyone know about it’s qualities and my results!

    I’ve been very interested in this line for awhile now. I like it’s more natural ingredients and have been consciously trying to avoid more chemical laden products these days. Just ran out of moisturizer too … so yes! Will test! :-)

    I am 53 and about 1 1/2 years into menopause. I have noticed the clarity, resilience and overall look of my skin diminish in recent months and I am kind of at a loss as to what to try.     I would love to test this product as I have tried so many other moisturizers and serums with varying results. My skin is quite dry over all with enlarged pores on my forehead and nose – quite a common condition for age 54 plus. Black currant oil sounds intriguing and I prefer products with natural ingredients. I’m ready for something new!

    Yes, I’d like to test this. I’m getting a little older, and I need some of that skin resilience. I bet it smells terrific, too. The pea-sized amount that you need to use sounds good to me. It would last so much longer!

    The price of these less than 2 oz products is astonishing to me. Just to make it last as long as possible, I would use it pea size by pea size and would hope it would do what it claims in that amount.

    I would to try it. I’m 65 yrs going on 66 yrs this year and my skin is losing it’s elasticity. I have tried a large number of beauty creams that claim to correct and help my skin,but so far have had no luck.     I use natural products as often as I can. I just went on a long and tedious journey, searching for a moisturizer that would really help my dry and flaky winter skin. I must say I was not very successful, and was unhappy with the product I chose. I would love to be the one to try and review Cassis Ultra Replenishing Cream since it is exactly what I am looking for. :)

    I am 62. My skin is somewhat dry and creases are starting to show, as well as the small wrinkles at the upper lip line and outer eyes. I would love a cream that even made my skin feel less ‘deflated’ and not dry and wrinkled. I would love to try this cream.

    Since I am really starting to look like my mother lately, I REALLY need to do something. Perhaps this cream is the ticket for me.
    Not that looking like my mother is necessarily a bad thing – you know how we all say (as teenagers and young 20′s) – please don’t ever let me be like my mother! Well, now I seem to be resembling her more every day,and I want to try and slow down that process. *smile*

    I’m especially interested in the Vitamin B complex in the Cassis Ultra Replenishing Cream by Naturopathica. Having used a form of Niacin (is part of the B Complex Vitamins) cream, my forehead wrinkles were gone overnight and the deep wrinkles between my brows were diminished. It has many qualities I like in a cream including antioxidant, protection form the environmental elements, resilience of the skin and retains moisture. Please include me in this test and my hand is waving so you can see.

    I would love to test this product to see if it will repair what the sun did to my face several years ago. I was at a theme park, mostly in shade, but got burned.     I need this BAD! My skin is so dry this winter that I have already gone thru $450 of expensive moisturizers such as Murad, Skinceuticals, etc., and all to no avail. One of us FabOverFifty girls will be lucky to try Cassis Replenishing Cream. :)

    I have used olive oil for both clelansing and moisturizing as well as assorted grape products with great results. So why night black currant oil? Natural is always better.
