Last year, FOFs tested Fragrance Bracelets by Lisa Hoffman, wife of Dustin Hoffman. Now, she’s partnered with Swarovski to create crystal pearl bracelets, graced with gold or silver filigree charms that hold scented wooden beads (retail value: $85). Choose from five different scents– French Clary Sage, Japanese Agarwood, Madagascar Orchid, Tunisian Neroli, and Tuscan Fig. When the fragrance loses its strength, after about one month, the charm can be filled with new beads. Hi Lisa, I have been searching for a scent that the fragrance lasts and I can smell it on myself. It doesn’t matter if the fragrance is low or high priced it’s the mixture of oils that make a great smelling fragrance. I would love for someone to say “You smell good, what is that fragrance.” I feel your fragrance would do it. I tend to go towards warm smelling fragrances, sweet fragrances are to potent for me. Hi, I have shopping for a fragrance to wear that not only would I smell it on myself, but people would approach me and ask what I am wearing. I never smell any scent I wear. I usually go for the warm fragrances. I do not like sweet fragrances. I have purchasing fragrances for over 30 years and unless I spray it on myself 2 seconds before I enter a room no one says anything. It is not the cost that makes a fragrance smell good, it is the combination of oils that make a fragrance smell good and last. Perhaps it has to do with hormones but, whenever I put a scent on my skin it changes to something I do not like. I usually spray my clothes but it wears off quickly. Incorporating a scent pod within a bracelet seems like to perfect solution and you can change your scent easily by changing the charm. I could wear one scent during the work day and change the charm to have something more sensual for evening without having to worry about mixing scents!

Scent reacts differently with each persons’ individual body chemicals. So that the same perfume that smells great on one person is cloying or too light on another. It’s hard for me to find a scent that I like when I smell it in the bottle that is different when I put it on. That’s why this seems like a great idea, because the scent never directly reacts with your body chemistry. So the scent you smell when you buy it, is the same scent you smell when you wear it. I would love to give it a try!

As I am getting older, I guess my body chemistry changes as well. The fragrance that I used to like and which smells good on me, does not work so well now. I am also getting a little allergic to the perfume that is sprayed on my skin. I think this sounds like a prefect solution to me.

I am not unhappy with any Chanel perfume, but I am unhappy that shortly after going out in the Texas heat, I am perspiring and my clothes are sticking to me.
