{Test This} Coolway Smoothing System

coolwayintro

FOFtestburst_KarunaFrizz’s worst enemy?

It’s hot as blazes out, and your hair knows it. Escaping the unwanted curls, frizz, and general hair disorder seems impossible. The last thing you want is an electric hair straightener that will just make your hair even hotter. The Coolway Smoothing System (retail value: $129.95) promises “professional results that will last until your next wash, while keeping temperatures low to eliminate heat damage,” according to the manufacturer. Its low-heat straightener features an “AutoSense™ sensor” which “measures the moisture levels in your hair” to give you “the ideal low heat.” In addition to the straightener, the system includes Boost Serum and Transform Spray to “help you achieve the smooth, shiny and frizz-free look you desire while reducing your hair’s breakage by 75%.”

Is this low-heat solution our summer savior? 5 FOFs will test this.

To enter, leave a comment below answering the question: What problems does the heat give your hair?

(See all our past winners, here.) (See official rules, here.) Contest closes July 3, 2013 at midnight E.S.T. Contest open only to residents of the continental U.S.

And I’m liviing in a city that experiences ten months of humid weather a year. Arghh!

Over the years my hair has lost its shine and body. Now it’s dull looking, brittle at the ends giving it a frizzy appearance and very little shine. I usually get a trim every 6 weeks or so but even that isn’t good enough to control the problems. I use a flat iron (hot) to straighten out the frizz look knowing it isn’t the best for my hair but if I don’t my hair looks terrible. HELP!!!! Would try anything else at this time.

I have naturally curly hair and have an arsenal of products and tools in my bathroom. I have used the same hairspray for over 30 years, but have never found a styling product/tool that I have had that kind of loyalty. I love to straighten my hair, but the heat and humidity in Texas preclude me from styling it this way during the summer because I end up with instant frizz and “big Texas hair”. I have struggled with the dry hair symptom of hypothyroidism for 18 years. As I approach 50 years old, I am concerned about the continued damage on my hair. Fortunately, I have long, thick hair and hope to keep it!

I need HELP, HELP, HELP!!! I have naturally curly, extremely fine hair. As I have gotten older, it has gotten much frizzier. Heat and humidity (Michigan has plenty of humidity) also causes my hair to frizz even more. I would love to give this product a try to see if it works better than others I have tried. The low heat iron especially intrigues me as I don’t dare use anything with high heat for fear of causing more damage to my hair.
