Oh Shucks
"I would absolutly love to have one of these, but it appears I missed the deadline for entering. I have a neice that has a Kendel (sp?) she takes it everywhere with her. I find it facinating and the wear and tear on my books would be spared as I have 1 or 2 books with me at all times."

Pick Me!!!
"ME, me, me, me, me, please pick me! I am really curios, does it matter what we write in here? Or is the winner chosen randomly? I have always wanted one of these. I read voraciously and am running out of room in my house for all the books. One of these would mean I could have any book I wanted, whenever I wanted it without taking up any space. What a concept."

"As a Reading Specialist, I try to instill a lifelong love of reading in my students. I take a book wherever I go, so if I have a free minute, I read. I pull out my book while waiting in line, waiting for an appointment, waiting for a movie to start, etc. The Nook makes it more convenient to always have a book on hand, and my reading matter will always stay in good condition."

Win a Nook WiFi
"Oh how I've longed for just such a device! Having been a book lover all my life, these last couple decades have been a challenge. Holding books is difficult, and often painful, for me. A long time dream has been to have just such a tool because large is much easier to hold than small, but heavy is worse than light. Make sense? So for women such as myself a Nook WiFi would be greatly appreciated and how many more books could be devoured that way! Alohas! Suse (*_*)"

Too many books? Never!
"I would first listen to ANYTHING (even the phone book!) read by British actor Alan Rickman - his voice is most divine, sexiest and seductive male voice there is. Regarding the Nook, I found myself wishing for one several months ago, as I was moving from a 3-bedroom house to a very small apartment. It was with great sadness that I had to sell over 800 of my beloved books because I just didn't have the space to keep them. (I still have 200 or so.) I thought, if there were only a way to keep all my books and not have to lug them around and find room for them....hmmm...how about a Nook?"

Memories of getting books from the neighborhood bookmobile and reading the next Nancy Drew or Laura Ingalls Wilder are held dear. voracious reader!
"I can opnly be classified as a voracious reader. From biogrpahies to business, fiction to history, non-fiction to mysteries -- and everything in-between -- if it's in print, I read it! What a fabulous give away! I have been contemplating getting some type of eReader because I am running out of shelf space for my books, especially since I read sometimes 3-4 books a week! I hope whoever wins this is as avid a reader as I. Good luck to everyone!"

Pure love
"I would listen the beautiful "The God of Small Things" and all the other Arundhati Roy books I haven't read. But, also, Dave Eggers, Mark Haddon and so many others. ...And George Elliot, whom I think is one of the writers with the most psychological insight of any writer- "Middlemarch" is amazing and the gorgeous description of the angst Maggie suffers around her haircut in "The Mill and the Floos" was heartbreaking and so realistic. this is a lovely prize!"

Read Whenever I want and No More Library Fines!!!!
"What an exciting prospect! What fun, and practical, too. There are always books that I want to get to read, but there isn't another shelf available, and it's not very ecologically or fiscally prudent to buy them all as print on paper books. Right now I would love to read Bonobo Handshake A Memoir of Love and Adventure in the Congo by Vanessa Woods-it sounds fascinating."

So many books, so little time
"I love mysteries, alternative histories and dark fantasies, and I always take a book with me to any appointment. Unfortunately I sometimes finish the book and am then stuck with a wait and nothing to read. Every time I am at B&N I think, 'Get a Nook. Then you could have as many books with you as you like.' The first thing that I would do is download everything by James Lee Burke so that I would have his marvelous prose with me at all times."

"I still plan to read a lot of old fashioned, printed books. But the Nook and all the others have their place. I listen to audio books every night as I go to sleep. I also never carry all the books I want on a trip because of weight. I would love to have the Nook for various travel and easy reading novels. The first I would "read" would be Moby Dick. My new found therapy comes from reading and I can't seem to get enough of it. It brings joy and happiness into my life. "For some of us who are having to re-think the ups and downs of relationships, this book I understand can offer some insight as to what most men are thinking...it's not just Men or from Mars and Women are from Venus...forget the Virgina Monologues, Steve Harvey brings it home...down to earth common sense, as to how the male species thinks...and ladies, it doesn't hurt to have a realistic point of view..on this subject. Many of my friends have read it and they love it...It's also been on the best seller list...so this book for me would be a keeper...and to be able to read it on a Nook. Alison Spear, Architect/Avid middle of the night reader
"My husband would be so happy if I won this contest, not only would I not have to spend $ to buy the device but he would have to put up with my 3 am - 4 am reading time, none of the "itty bitty" book lights worked well and now that I am back to the bedside table light I surround my poor dear husband with a fortress of pillows before I dare start my middle of the night reading .. In saying all of this I am assuming it is backlit!! If I win the "NookWiFi" it would really make my marriage a lot easier!!!"

Best Thing that ever happened!
"I would pick Private by J Patterson and Maxine Paetro! On the 2nd day of summer when I was 12,I broke my foot playing on a teeter totter with my little brothers. I couldn't do anything but read so my mom took me to the dime store(remember those?) to pick out a book.I started reading the Donna Parker series and finished the first one in 2 days.Every time I finished one she would take me to pick a new one.I discovered that I love books and reading that summer. And 44 yrs later I am still an avid reader and have always thought that breaking my foot was one of the best things that ever happened to me."

Space-saver
"I teach high school and I spend the summer in the mountains to rejuvenate. I pack 20-30 books and read in-between hikes, hosting, and counted-cross stitch activities. I drive a Honda Accord, so packing all of those books takes up precious space. Using an Audiobook could give me more space for that bothersome food I need to haul! ;-) The first book I'd download would be Walden because I love being near nature."

You can find me in a bookstores on a regular basis, nothing is more rewarding than reading books and finding out what is out there. I may buy online, but shop in brick-and-morter. Wish could gift a Nook to my son on his 23rd birthday
"My son and I are both avid readers. My son just turned 23, and a few months before his birthday he came over to me so excited and said that something much better than kindle had been released by Barnes and Nobles (then he showed me a complete demo of the product on his laptop) and how he wished to get it. He checked at that time and it was not available. Then I thought I would get it for him as a birthday gift and he will be pleasantly surprised. I have been lately quite pressed for money due to loosing my job, and unfortunately could not buy the gift he so desired. I know he would probably end up buying it himself, and may even buy one for me. How I wish I could have bought it for him. "

"This would be wonderful as I am an avid reader. I still have 15 boxes of books packed up in my attic, where they've been since we moved into our house 7 years ago. I have no room to unpack them, so the Nook would be ideal for me!"

"I'm a law student, and it's really taking away my reading for pleasure time. So, since it's summer I have a huge reading list queued up and read for me to dive in. I would love a Nook e-reader because I could put my entire reading list in one little contraption and take it with me wherever I go. Also, I could put a couple textbooks on the e-reader and help my back out since law books weigh so much!"

So intriguing!
"What a fabulous (of course) contest! I read at least one book ever two days, often more. A device such as this would make that so much less bulky, wasteful of paper (and trees), and convenient. The first book I would read would, I think, be EAT PRAY LOVE, to travel vicariously and dream of an adventure I might just follow one day, before terribly long! After that, my four or five books a week would be such a breeze, and take a lot of clutter out of my house..."
