This fab and funky FOF from Austin, TX, was spotted shopping with her husband (who was wearing matching glasses) on Fifth Avenue in New York City. Her redcessories made her hard to miss! Our take: She looks like someone we'd want to be friends with. But do you think her style is red hot, or--not?
Glenyse Thompson: "Her red, statement necklace and great eyeglasses against her grey dress really work! I love those patent walking shoes. I understand the functionality of the puffy vest but think a chic trench coat instead, would have made this look a home run."

Sherrie Mathieson: "There seems to be no shortage of women who mistake weirdness for stylishness and individuality. She’s wannabe artsy, but there is no art here. One thing she is though, is comfortable--from her loose dress, wash-and-wear hairstyle, and comfortable, masculine shoes. The only piece I actually like (with a different outfit) is her down vest."

Lovey Dash: "Maybe I’ve had a little too much champagne for New Years, but I do not mind this look at all. I’m not saying I would wear this, but it works! The drapey dress with the down vest is so
Isabel Marant. The necklace irks me a bit, but she makes it work with her eyeglass frames. The shoes are weird but they sure look comfy if she’s touring the town."

Susan Grant: "This woman looks very cute with her artsy touches. I love the way her red glasses, lips and necklace brighten her up. The only thing that bothers me is the pockets on her skirt--they are one element too many and don't work with the length of her vest. Otherwise, her appearance is very pleasant."

Sorry, I think it’s just awful..
Love the eyeglasses and the necklace, but the skirt-vest combo just doesn’t work. The way those “puffy” pockets from the skirt stick out of the puffy vest draws attention to the wrong part of her look. Good start….. bad finish!
The glasses are cute. I would not wear that outfit ever.
She DOES look like someone I’d want to be friends with, and I love her glasses, lips, hair, and great smile. But as a friend, I’d tell her the dress is awful, the shoes only work with pants, and the red necklace draws too much attention to her neck (not her best feature). Put that vest over a black turtleneck and black slacks, and add a red scarf and bag…NOW we’re talking cute!
Love her hair, her smile, the dress looks interesting, don’t mind the shoes or tights, but hate the vest with this outfit. I would prefer a black cardigan sweater with a simple draped cascade front (length-about mid hip or a little below.)
PS I don’t dislike the vest, but this ski(?) vest seems all wrong for the sophistication of the rest of the outfit.
Perfect, but lose the dress! A black sweater and fitted black slacks would make her look sleek and bold. The dress has go to go!
She’s got a smile on her face. To me, that says it all. It’s perfect (for her).
The red color of the glasses and necklace work well with the vest and her coloring and her personality seems to shine in that color. I think I would rather have seen a scarf in that color than the necklace. The color of the dress is great, but the style just doesn’t work at all with the rest of the outfit.
Love her hair cut, glasses and smile!
I’m totally about wearing comfy cozy vests… however I do not adore it with dress with the big pockets, tights and chunky shiny shoes. I’d wear the dress with tall boots or sandals. The chunky shoes need a simple straight or boot cut black casual pant, or brit plaid. I can tell she has spunk!!!
I don’t like the necklace it doesn’t go with the neckline of the dress and I don’t like puffy anything on my body. I like the idea of the trench coat would go better with the shoes and a nice red bag.
That dress/skirt makes her look frumpy. I don’t particularly care for the necklace but it seems to work for her. I think the look would be all right if she wore slacks instead of whatever that droopy thing is she is wearing.
No, No, No! The necklace looks like the links my kids played with years ago. The pockets on the dress, bad! The shoes, to clunky for her, the vest belongs on another outfit.
The red glasses are great, as well as the lip color. Cute haircut.
Don’t like the outfit at all. Would not be caught dead in it.
