Palomar, the company that makes laser systems used by dermatologists, recently released the PaloVia® Skin Renewing Laser® (available at palovia.com, retail value of $499) for use at home. Palomar claims it is the only at-home laser treatment that’s FDA-cleared and clinically proven to reduce fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. It works by emitting short pulses of micro-fine laser light that reach deeply into the skin’s sub-layers, where wrinkles form. According to Palomar marketing materials, “It doesn’t just give the appearance of younger-looking skin, it actually renews the skin with fresh collagen and elastin.”

• The depth of the lines decreased, some are all together gone. Stick with it, it does take time.

• Was this product easy to use?


• Yes, the product was very easy to use. The directions were very easy to follow. If you have never had laser treatments there can be a slight sting to the treatment but it is well worth the results.


• Did you notice a difference in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes?


• Yes, by the end of the third week I had less wrinkles around my eyes. By The end of thirty days my wrinkles are little to none and really are not that noticeable like before.


• What changes did you notice?


• I did notice that I had some dryness and redness to the skin around my eyes where I was using the laser. I found that using a good moisturizer did the trick. I also noticed that my wrinkles were starting to diminish as the weeks passed. I had laser treatments at a spa and this little gift to women worked. It’s magic around my eyes so that by the month’s end I was elated with the results.

• I waited until the last minute so to get every bit of treatment. My enthusiasm for the promise of a more youthful appearance was tempered by my low maintenance regime. I'm not one to use gadgets or experiment much. But it was TIME. This product couldn't be easier to use and delivered by reducing fine lines. I love to laugh and it showed on my face. I still crinkle up when smiling but when composed my eye area looks smoother. Yes, I would recommend it to FOF's.

• Was this product easy to use?


• The product is very easy to use and I like how it encourages me to remember to wash my face every night. I have to be a little, extra steady and patient to attain a steady go light. I sometimes will have to lift and let the unit "rethink it" if it's being fussy. I sometimes will wipe the gel off the unit at that point, too. With only 25 hits allowed it's never a long process.


• Did you notice a difference in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes?


• At first I was concerned because it created such puffiness and a bit of bagging but with repeated use there seemed to be less of that. I usually take a day or two break after 4 days of use. Once the puffiness phase passed the results were immediate. It definitely softened lines...I'm hoping for complete disappearance of those lines...too much to ask?


• Would you continue using it to maintain the results (2x/week?)


• I will absolutely continue a maintenance plan.
