13March   {Test This} Couture Gel Nail Polish Kit

It seemed like gel manicures were the answer to our prayers--the chip-free, smudge-less gel polish dries in two minutes flat and maintains an unworldly shine...for weeks! We’re sold on the concept, but not so much on the $40-per-application salon bill.

So, when we heard that Couture Gel Nail Polish released a kit which provides you with “everything you need for a salon-quality gel nail polish manicure at home”--we couldn’t help but wonder: was this the perfect ten?

The kit retails for $129 and contains 3 shades of polish, a base coat, a top coat, a salon nail care kit, a zippered carrying case, a UV lamp and an instructional DVD. The manufacturer promises “easy application,” a “2-minute dry time that results in diamond-hard nails,” “a 3-week hold that continues to look fresh until you take it off,” and “no smearing, chipping, smudging, or scratching off — ever.” Did they nail it with this one? We want to know! 7 FOFs will test this at-home gel manicure kit.

Click here to find out more about it, and then leave a comment below for a chance to test it.

P.S. Want to be guaranteed a product to test? Join the FOF Beauty Club now!

(See all our past winners, here.) (See official rules, here.) Contest closes March 21, 2012 at midnight E.S.T.

My fingernails have always been strong, until the past few years. Even with vitamins and a proper diet, my nails seem to break too easily. I would enjoy having stronger AND prety nails again.

OMG, I would LOVE this!!!! I hate going to the trouble of doing my nails and then already the next day the polish is wearing off. I do a lot of paperwork and polish just doesn’t last around it. And I certainly can’t afford to get a salon treatment. Trying this would be awesome.

The kit looks rather complicated, but fun, and I’d love to try it. I have never been able to give myself asalon-worthy mani/pedi, no matter how I try!

I would love to win this. I had artificial nails back in 80′s and 90′s and have not been able to grow my natural nails since. They need a pick me up!

That’s very interesting that she didn’t pull from being a crenrut teacher, but all the way back to when she was in HS. I guess those experiences were more personal & easier to work from. Amy @ http://www.bookgoonie.com

I would love to try the gel polish kit, I can’t afford the salon price for gel polish. I have a difficult time keeping regular polish on & I heard the gel can last up to two weeks which would be awesome. I hope I’m among one of the lucky ones to try it. Thank you.

I have tried it at salons but the price is to much to have it done all the time. It would be nice to do at home & have it last longer then regular nail polish.

I only know about gel nail products from watching QVC’s host Lisa Robertson. She frequently talks about her nails and how strong and beautiful they are. I’ve always kept my nails short and unpainted (retired RN) but would like to focus on them in this new phase of my life!

seems like it would be just like the salon. in my job the gel lets me keep a manicure for a month. otherwise it last 2 days.

Would love to give this a try-my daughter has gel applied at a salon. This would be a fun way to show her it can be done at home–

I am very curious about the couture gel kit. I have heard about the polish from the internet but here in Oklahoma, it is fairly new for home. I have asked about it in the nail salon and at Sally’s. I need something like that especially if it works. I work with children 3-4 years old and can not keep my nails the way I would like and the expense is very costly. I would love to see if it really works. Thank you!!!!

Helo, thanks for the nice cemomnt. Actually you can either use it as a widget (in the widgets section) or you can use the PHP tag directly in the code.Widget way is the prefered one, since it allows you to include it in your widgetized sidebar without coding
