A few years ago, entrepreneur Assaf Wand noticed that his wife, Liron, wasn't taking her prenatal supplements in public because she didn't like pulling out a prescription bottle in public. Realizing there could be a market for modern pill cases, Assaf got to work on a line of supplement storage that would be sleek, chic and functional. Last month, he launched his first five pill storage cases and accessories under the brand name Sabi, with plans to expand to home and travel products in the near future. Here, we chat withPinny Gniwisch, Sabi’s head of marketing, about their new line of mod pill products.
Who designed the product line?
We approached fusedesign, an company based out of San Francisco that has designed award-winning products such as the Herman Miller chair and the Jawbone Bluetooth. They were intrigued by our idea. We formed a partnership.
What elements of design make these pill storage products unique?
They’re easy to open and everything has dual purpose. For instance, the
Grand Carafe, is a pill holder and a water bottle.
Crush is a pill holder and crusher.
Why do you want FOFs to know about your product?
They are fastest growing demographic in the world today--they’re aging gracefully and have money. They’re surrounded by brands like Apple and Method and, as a result, looking for products that facilitate something but don’t make them look bad while doing it.
What’s your best-selling item so far?
Crush, the pill crusher. People have told us they use it to crush pills for their pets and kids.
What’s the feedback you’ve received so far?
Customers have told us that Sabi products removed the stigma of taking pills and even sparked conversation around their supplement intake.

The Shake model. It’s sleek design is just what I have been searching for. It would fit into my bag with ease. I just find this to be so very cool! I can tell that a great deal of thought went into the overall design. Cudos!

I think they are all cool, My pick would be “Folio” or the one that would carry the most, as I started taking some extra vitamins and I need to take extra calcium so I need the one that would hold the most!
They all look great I think I will choose number four.
#3 Grand Carafe is the best. Next is #4 Folio. All in all it is great idea and neat products. I would love to have one of this.

I need to organize the 7 pills a day so I won`t get confused.

these are great, i woud choose #3 the Grand Carafe. I am on 4 different meds. and i love the idea of having your water right there when you need to take your medication. what is also another plus to #3 is knowing your medication is safe and your water will not spill all over. yes, i definatly hope to win this, thank you for the chance.
I would love to have the folio. My spouse is recovering from cancer and the meds are so many, between he and I it’s hard to keep up with them. Especially when we are out on trips to thr hospital for 3 days at. Time.

I would really like any of them. Have a hard time finding a nice looking pill case. They are always opening and my pills mix. I do think I like the Grand Carafe best. Water/pills together, don’t have to think about brining both.
I have to carry my medications with me and I think the Folio would be perfect. It has enough room for everything I need and it doesnt look like the drab, generic case I now carry.
I believe I also like the Folio and could make good use of it since for my Diabetes 2, I take quite a few pills. Thanks!!!

Hmmm, I think I would like Grand Carafe or Folio. It’s hard to keep track of all of the supplements I should be taking!

I would be hoping that the Folio opens to hold several meds at a time as I take more than just a few pills each day. Would be nice to see it in open view also and help to make the decission easier. Gives a bit of class to the usual dispensers

I think the folio would take up less space in my purse, but the grande carafe allows you to take your pilss on the go since it also hods water. I’m torn!
The crafe is classy!
The Carafe looks like something that I’d really enjoy using and sharing with my husband as we travel or at night on our nightstand.

Great idea. Love # 4 – Folio. Just started taking a variety of vitamins and am excited about the benefits I am seeing in my energy level. Now this item may just help me to stay organized and keep me on track.

I think the pictures are mislabeled, but I love the black one. It’s labeled number 4 but I think it’s supposed to be Folio. It doesn’t even look like a pill case!
