We spotted this FOF handbag designer, at a recent accessories show (really, how could we miss her?). We’re still undecided on her tie-dye pants, but one thing we’re sure about: it takes guts at any age to sport them!
What do you think? Is her outfit tie dye for?

Sandra Soich: “Chic! The FOF’s overall look is a class act. Her hair is sleek and clean, jewelry is great and I love the top. The pants are “out there” but good...and I love the shoes. I think the look is very current...a la 7th Ave!”

Susan Hersh: “Printed pants are a huge trend this season but tucked into her funky shoes, these tie-dye pants almost look like pajamas. Her black shirt looks very heavy--the weight of the fabric looks might be more appropriate for fall.”

Sherrie Mathieson: “I love the low-key top paired with the colorful eye-catching pant. The top and bottom are in perfect balance, and more importantly--they flatter her. I also love her tailored, modern Hermes ‘Collier de Chien’ bracelet as well as the other ethnic-inspired jewelry. I would have maybe chosen between the two different styles. The high-heeled booties give her the long-legged look she needs to carry off the voluminous print pant--perfect! Even her painted toenails pick up one of the blue shades in her pant. She's youthful, appropriate, and creative--kudos!”

Lovey Dash: “I love her Hermes wrist band, pant, open-toed bootie and short, black top--great proportions and great colors. Her hair tied back is so nice, neat and right with this look. This is the best “What Do You Think of This Look” I have seen yet!”

Terry Gibralter: “I really don't hate her look but that said, I don't love it either. Overall, it’s coming off a bit sloppy. I don't like the proportions of the short-ish classic blouse with shirttail out over the pants and I really don't like how the soft unfitted pants pool at the ankles of her boots. The boots are quite cool however, but they would be better with structured, form-fitting pants. That being said, she’s in great shape and could probably pull off the wild pants just paired with something more fitting like sandals or tennis shoes and a slightly longer, more casual top.”

She pulls the outfit off pretty well. Her accessories, blouse, and hair look great. However, I think I would get the pants in a more fall/winter pattern and colors. The boots are too cute and look good with the pant style IMO, but I wish they had enclosed toes. The outfit looks sort of winter on top, and summer on the bottom. She’s a pretty lady, and would really WOW that ensemble if the pants were winter colors/pattern.
no no no no
I’m not into black clothing – so I would have preferred a white or solid color top. The boots I do not like at all! Sandals would have been a better choice. But I love the pants
Hate the pants….hate the shoes……nope, I just couldn’t and wouldn’t leave the house wearing either……..
I agree with Terry. I don’t hate it but yet don’t love it. Don’t care for the pants tucked into the shoes. Maybe a more flattering flat sandal and a different top. I’m always open to trying new looks, love clothes, shoes, etc.
Just because someone out there states that something is the new fashion trend doesn’t mean it really is for everyone. I mean- really?
Love all those colors…loud, busy and eye catching!
While it would NOT work for every occasion (ie: grocery store, ball field, work….) I think its very appropriate and becoming for the event she was attending.
P.The designers and manufacturers are making fools of women and laughing all the way to the bank.
The shoes are a problem and are ugly! The rest seems ok. Designers are marketing these uglies to unseeing, unthinking women. UGLY shoes!!!!!! No wonder men laugh at women!!!!!
Love the pants…top is too black and heavy looking…I would go for the little tailored look, but choose a color from the pants…The shoes, well, the shoes is all I can say…:)
The outfit – looks too casual for an important event, but then again, as a “designer” she can go the artsy route. The shoes, however are the most outlandish and ridiculous things I have ever seen. I agree with others here who have said they represent the worst of something worn because some “expert” said it was “trendy.”
Where do you get these so called “fashion experts”? I’m always up for thinking out or the box, but honestly those pants should be left in the box. I wouldn’t even lounge around the house in them.
I think she pulled this look off with panache. She looks cool, calm, and comfortable. The oh so current pants look great with the simple top. The boots are just right for this look. Way to go!
Those “booties/shoes? are ridiculous. The designer of those monstrosities must be laughing his butt off. American women will buy and wear anything if they are told it is fashionable or trendy. Why would your wear cut-out boots? They are freaking ugly. Your so-called experts just lost all their credibility as far as I’m concerned. Talk about lemmings…
This look would work better with a little tweaking. First, the pattern on the pants is better suited for a swim coverup or summer dress. It’s too bright for the heavy black top. If the top were sleeveless and the pants were a more sophisticated, subdued print it would be more wearable, but still modern. The pants need a little more structure in the fabric. They are drapey to the point of being droopy. They need hemmed so they don’t slouch around the ankles, which gives a sloppy look overall. I think they would actually be cuter as a crop. A long necklace would finish the outfit for a slenderizing pulled together look. Too much detail on the wrists adds bulk. It’s not the worst, but it could be better.
Where can I buy these?
