Wendy Krepak was enjoying a career in commercial real estate when an organizational problem she kept having led her to launch an entirely new venture. "I had all of these [frequent buyer] cards and I liked to go to local places and get the fifth coffee free or the fifth lunch free,” says Wendy. “But, I kept losing them.”
Wendy scoured the internet to try to find the solution to her problem, but came up empty-handed. So, she took matters into her own hands and created a makeshift personal card organizer. Her prototype, “stood up like the Card Cubby, had a flap over and it, and it was kind of what I was looking for,” says Wendy. “The one I made was just for me...but it served the purpose really well and people started asking where I got it."
“I thought, this is kind of crazy, but maybe I'll just take it to the patent attorney,” says Wendy. “So I went in, met with him, and he said, 'Let's patent it!'"
And with that, the Card Cubby was born. The resulting organizer is a stylish, wallet-sized pouch with a 30-card filing system to keep all of your frequent buyer cards in order. It has a place for your ID and cash, can fit your cell phone, and comes with a removable strap. The Card Cubby comes in 16 different colors and styles.
Since late 2008, Wendy has sold over 350,000 Card Cubbies. They're sold in retail stores all over the U.S. and in Canada, and have been featured on
Good Morning America,
The Today Show, and QVC.
Wendy credits the success of the Card Cubby to the universal appeal of getting things for free. "I don't care how much money you make, we all like free stuff," says Wendy. "When you go in and you get that free lunch or that free coffee, [while] being able to be organized, and you don't have to be aggravated, there is some value in that."

I have always tried to find ways to organize ID cards, business cards, store discount cards, etc. I have not found the perfect solution until I saw this story on FOF. What a selection! It was a difficult decision, and I could narrow it down to only 2 – the Energetic Orange or the Grey Mist Croc would be my choice. This is a GREAT idea!

the black and white or the orange one is my fav. i can’t decide…they’re all awesome.
Usually not a pink gal, but the tickled pink croc because I have to use two black card holders with a rubberband. Finding it at times can be a chore. And, this is nice, bright, and differently textured.
I am a Lover of the color Pink, so I would say definitely “Tickled Pink”

Chocolate croc would be my first choice. I have had something like this for years. It was black with non-alphabetized slots(so you never could find anything easily), and it closed with a zipper which was hard to use, and broke eventually.
The black & white is perfect for my decor.
