Lovey Dash: “Let me just say I would not wear this look for all the tea in China. However it works, not for me, but for her...The jacket is great and I love the tee with the necklace. I also love the boots. If the skirt were shorter, then she could have been okay without tights. But since it’s not, she should have worn Wolford opaque or micro fishnet tights. All in all not fashion roadkill, not biker chic but, she pulled it off."

I understand the need for protection if you ride a motorcycle or scooter, but you can still dress fashionably and protect yourself. 1981 is calling and it wants that skirt back. A pair of fitted pants would have easily made this outfit a 'do.'"

Susan Grant: "This ensemble works well and is age appropriate with the exception of the footwear. The height of the boot and its tight fit over the ankle looks awkward. I would add black tights and swap the ankle boots for a knee-high, flat boot or a low-heeled pump for a more polished look."

We spotted this FOF handbag designer, at a recent accessories show (really, how could we miss her?). We’re still undecided on her tie-dye pants, but one thing we’re sure about: it takes guts at any age to sport them! What do you think? Is her outfit tie dye for?

The high-heeled booties give her the long-legged look she needs to carry off the voluminous print pant--perfect! Even her painted toenails pick up one of the blue shades in her pant. Terry Gibralter: “I really don't hate her look but that said, I don't love it either. Overall, it’s coming off a bit sloppy. I don't like the proportions of the short-ish classic blouse with shirttail out over the pants and I really don't like how the soft unfitted pants pool at the ankles of her boots. The boots are quite cool however, but they would be better with structured, form-fitting pants. That being said, she’s in great shape and could probably pull off the wild pants just paired with something more fitting like sandals or tennis shoes and a slightly longer, more casual top.”

Black is the new... black?! Okay, okay, there’s nothing new about it, especially on the streets of New York City, where we spotted this FOF and where dressing dark is practically the law of the land. But, there’s a right way and a wrong way to don the inky hue--where does this FOFit in? First, read what our style gurus think. Then, tell us: Is she a black sheep or black beauty?

Glenyse Thompson: "Oh my! Love the coat, classic Louis Vuitton tote, chic jewelry and patent walking shoes. She looks comfortable and elegant until you hit those hips. I want to be polite but...those pants are hideous. Fitted jeans or pants with a slight flare at the ankle would have made this outfit a black beauty."

Susan Grant: "Too much going on--fringed detail on the jacket, the print-patterned slacks and shiny shoes, plus, the ensemble doesn't flatter this woman's figure. The length of the jacket, (perhaps hiked up by the bag on her shoulder) draws attention to her hips. The pegged pants do the same. Straight legged slacks would give her a leaner line and a more sophisticated look. They would also draw less attention to the shoes, which I assume she's wearing for comfort."

Terry Gibralter: "Unfortunately, I don't like much about this FOF's look. The head-to-toe black is too harsh and draining for her. I find the entire outfit to be quite unflattering. The heavy shawl-collared jacket with fringe swallows her up and I really don't get the pants--are they capri length with socks showing or is that their design? Whichever it is, they are the wrong look for her. The shoes might be okay paired with some other outfit. The small print neutral scarf doesn't do much. I don't mind her large Louis Vuitton tote. Definitely a black sheep!”

Susan Hersh: "The shawl collar fringe jacket is stunning and like a true New Yorker this woman is sporting the right, stylish and comfortable walking shoe. The printed slim pant with faux leather ankle band looks inexpensive to me compared to the rest of her luxe outfit. Additionally, it makes her legs look short and her figure appear pear shaped. Solid black leggings or slim leg trousers would be more flattering."

Sandra Soich: "Black Sheep! There's nothing about this look that appeals to my styling senses. First of all, this is not age appropriate. Starting from the bottom up, the shoes are so heavy and awkward looking. Then we travel up to the double pant attempt which is very unattractive. The coat could pass the test. The accessories (scarf, jewelry and bag) just look dated. And, to finish, the hair looks so unkempt and the color needs some work."

{What Do You Think Of This Look} Matching Mom and Daughter

“Like mother, like daughter,” never rang truer. We spotted these tourists from Europe outside of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Both are sporting the same look--oversized scarves, teeny cross-body bags, tailored blazers and standout sneakers. What do you think? Is this the mother (and daughter) of all outfits or mother-daughter disaster?

Sherrie Mathieson: Sorry to say, mom’s attempt to mimic her daughter is only accentuating her personal style ineptitude. The daughter’s scarf is overwhelming--she tried for hip and missed the mark, but it’s forgivable at her age. As for mom, she takes it to a totally heightened silly and inappropriate level. They would both truly would benefit from my book "Steal This Style: Moms and Daughters Swap Wardrobe Secrets."

Terry Gibralter: What's not to love? This stylish, adorable mother-daughter duo look great! I love how they're wearing the exact same items (boy blazers, fitted jeans/jodhpurs, cross-body bags, high-tops and long scarves) but the colors and cuts are totally their own. Mom is incredibly youthful so she can really pull this look off. The daughter looks like she's learned at mom's knee. Very cool!

Sneakers for touring are acceptable, but she should have opted for a cleaner cut such as Converse ‘Jack Purcell.’ The daughter has nice flair at such a young age. The scarf is a bit oversized for her tiny frame but...does it really matter?”

While we are all for having something creative in your wardrobe these just look like she is trying too hard to keep up with her little fashion plate of a daughter. While this FOF is certainly youthful-looking, if her daughter wasn't standing next to her, you would think, ‘why did she put those shoes with that outfit?’”

This woman has it all: confidence, little black dress, leather, retro glasses, platforms and a peace sign.....oh, and might we also mention--she’s Sweden’s most famous jewelry designer, Efva Attling. She has 7,000+ Twitter followers, her own perfume line and has been named "a sort of perennial presence in fashion," by The New York Times. She must be doing something right...right? The bag is too bulky for this outfit--a sleeker bag would've been a better choice. Now, for the main event--the coat (if that's even what we can call it) whoever slashed it up had the right idea. If she really must wear it, she should tone everything else down, perhaps by wearing a jumpsuit or monotone stockings, dress and a high boot."

The Glam Gals: Fashion blogger Susan Tabak is known for supporting and wearing up-and-coming fashion designers, which is what Fashion Week is all about. Even though her look is a little bit shocking, Susan sure hit the mark!
While we would never invest in a crazy coat like this, she pulled it off! She looks elegant in this color palette of taupe and black with the simple black scarf and handbag allowing the coat to be the star. Her funky shoes pull the entire look together. Kudos to Susan for rocking this look!

{What do you think of this look?} Academy Awards Edition

If you were watching the Oscars, we applaud you. It took some serious commitment to stick it out to the end. We also applaud our two favorite performances--both of which came from FOF men. First, a knockout hosting job by Billy Crystal; second, the best acceptance speech of the night from Christopher Plummer, Best Supporting Actor winner. As for the FOF Oscar Fashion . . . well, we weren’t exactly bowled over. Honestly, our Fab sisters made a better showing at some of the earlier-season award shows. At least, that’s our vote . . . but what do you think?

Glenn Close found her power color when she pulled on this form-fitting Zac Posen gown and paired it with a very smart, tuxedo-style blazer. Buuut, when we watched her live interview on the red carpet, things fell apart. The jacket and dress pulled awkwardly across her arms, chest, thighs and belly. In the end, it was like she was battling a green serpent. A very pretty green serpent.

Meryl went gold and green in this Lanvin gown, which was part of the eco-friendly dress campaign organised by Colin Firth's wife, Livia. Per usual, we liked Meryl’s intention, but her execution didn’t claim the gold. There’s too much fabric here! I want to whip out a safety pin and raise the neckline myself. Not to mention the woefully misguided chain link belt. Oops, we mentioned it.

Grammy fashion is all about looking over-the-top, sexy, and cool. There are no bonus points for style that’s “distinguished” and “appropriate” as there are at the Oscars. But were FOFs able to push the envelope without looking ridiculous?

Over the top? Check. Sexy? Check. Cool? Doublecheck. One sour note: The teased black hair extensions, which just look crazy.

Diane, 56, is the brilliant FOF songwriter behind everyone else's hits (Aerosmith, Celine Dion, Beyonce . . . .) This year, she was nominated for “Born to Be Somebody,” a song she wrote for Justin Bieber. Unfortunately, she may have also used Justin’s stylist. Her jeans and shoes look straight out of his closet. The jacket has some promise, but seems to be concealing a totally incongruous green ice skating skirt. Sorry, this is an FOFail.

“Best Comedy Album” nominee Kathy Griffin, 52, used to be the “gawky” funny one. But since becoming FOF, she’s publicly taken great pains to also be “sexy-pretty” funny one. Frankly, with this Michael Kors dress, she’s achieved her goal. It may be a little “beauty pageant” for the Grammy’s, but Kathy looks damn good! Extra points for fab hair and accessories.

I like the look she's going for--layers over leggings, with accents--but the animal print scarf over the too-big, Austrian style jacket, paired with the geometric bag and unfitted tee just look sloppy. She has nice legs which look good in leggings, but she needs to get the rest of the outfit together. I do like the cute Missoni flats.”
