7 Days of Yoga in Fiji Winner
Alexis Marnel - New York, NY
Question: How do you relax?

Beauty Cabinet Makeover Winner
Lisa Hoch - Superior, WI
Connie L. Potratz-Watson - Hudson, WI
Question: Which of your FOFriends deserves a Beauty Cabinet Makeover and why?
"My dear friend Connie deserves a beauty cabinet makeover. Three years ago I was privileged to donate a kidney to her. Although she'll still have to be careful and deal with anti-rejection meds for the rest of her life, she's doing wonderfully well. Money for new make-up falls far down on her list and this would be a marvelous boost!"
A Super Foodie Weekend for Two In Wine Country Winner
Petra Hennek - Andover, MN
Question: Which class would you most like to take?
"This is a tough decision as all these classes are of so much interest to me. I think though, that kneading bread is the ticket to dealing with my stress-filled last year. I can methodically contemplate simplicity while kneading bread and hopefully the end result would be a wonderful loaf of bread. Then all we need is the butter. That's all I need for simple happiness and to be reminded of why life is good."
A Beach read that's anything but sunny Winner
Barbara Marzolf - Hamilton City, CA
Question: What's the best book you've read so far this year?
"Half the Sky- Inspiring, discouraging, it made me feel grateful for what I have, want to help others (I give $$ to Heifer International), enlightened, REALLY ANGRY that people are so cruel, and hopeful that people, especially women, are so resilient. It made me question what I do for others and even made me think about that hidden desire to become a nurse. In other words, it touched me like no book has touched. As a reminder to truly live each day, honoring myself and the other women I love and care about, I started painting."

Mary Wright - DeLand, FL
Mary Jane Protus - Schenectady, NY
Osteoporosis Bone Health Challenge Winner
Karen Marek - Parma, Ohio
Question: Tell us what you're doing to promote your bone health.
"Menopause started at the age of 40 for me, and by the time I was 43, my periods had stopped. Due to my small frame, my mother's history of osteoporosis, and early menopause, my doctor decided to do a bone density test. I always ate healthy, exercised, and took daily vitamins. Sometimes however, things happen which one has no control over, as in my case. I thought my test would come back within normal range, but was very surprised when the doctor said I was osteopenic. I was immediately started on Actonel, along with OTC Calcium supplements. I kept up with my daily walking routine. One year later I was surprised to find my scores dropped even more on my bone test, very close to the osteoporosis range. I then was switched to Fosamax, and with determination taking over, I continued to walk daily and added weight training exercises. I faithfully took weekly Fosamax and added Vitamin D and began having more milk and yogurt. Within a 5 year period, I increased my bone density to the point that in December of this year, I may no longer need to be on Fosamax. I have become an advocate for taking care of your bones, because it really is never too late to save them. I have too much living to do, and will continue to fight the battle of osteoporosis."

Luxe Leather Handbag from Barr + Barr Winner
Diane H. Hinkle - Louisville, TN
Question: Do you match your bags to your shoes?
"I am nearing 70 and I came from a generation who seemed to always match shoes and purses. Sometimes it meant making a purse or actually covering a pair of shoes with fabric. I have done both so I was stylish. Over the last twenty or thirty years attitudes have changed greatly about what one wears with what. I now have pursers that are patterned as well as different shades of one color and the usual solids. I carry them with whatever makes me happy that particular day and I have fun. You are never too old to change and never too old to have fun. I'm doing both!"
A Fantasy Shopping Weekend Winner

A Week of Yoga and Horses Giveaway Winner
JoAnn Mallozzi-Freedman - Encino, CA
Question: Have you ever been horseback riding?
"For our senior class trip this "city gal" saddled up and went gitty yap to the horse that was chosen for me at the Dude ranch. Mind you, the only horse I had ever ridden was the one at the carnival attached to a carousel! The only problem with Elenor was that she was on the older side and all she wanted to do was eat the grass on the side of the trail and or pass wind. It got so bad that the other students behind me on the trail were asked to pass me since the smell was horrendous and they were choking! If I wasn't so scared to be on the back of this big and cranky animal I probably would have enjoyed it more. So, yes, I have been horseback riding! LOL!"

A gift for you and for the charity of your choice Winner
Valerie Clark - Lowell, MA
Question: Visit CafeGive and tell us which of the five charities you would like to support.
"I would pick Friends of the Children's National as a charity of choice. Why? It's simple. Have you ever paid attention to a child? Have you seen the light in their eyes, the swelling of their hearts and the tears they didn't shed? Mentorship gives that type of attention to someone who needs it. Having someone pay attention can make a world of difference in someones attitude, fortitude and life's decisions."
The "greenist" kitchen container Winners
Elise Puhala - Sahuarita, AZ
Question: Have you ever been to a Tupperware party?
"I have been to a ton of Tupperware parties in my lifetime and I have a ton of old Tupperware to prove it. I haven't been to a party in years now. I think it's a young mother's "get me out of the house before I kill the kids" type of party. At least, that's the way it worked for me back in the 70's and 80's. My kids are living proof that this escape mechanism worked."

A Quilt Made from Your T-Shirts Giveaway Winner
Denise McRae - Olympia, WA
Question: What special t-shirt would you include in a Stitch-T quilt?
"My three granddaughters have t-shirts from different places they have lived due to their father being in the Army. Their father also brings them t-shirts from different areas of the world from his deployment to Iraq, Africa and Korea. My granddaughters are often without their father for long periods of time. The girls are always having to go to new schools due to their father being relocated. They put on a brave face and move forward with their daily activities. At night, however, you can hear them in their room talking about missing their father and sometimes weeping. The t-shirts they have collected remind them of places they have lived and activities they have shared with their father. This comforts them until he returns. God Bless our Soldiers and their families."

"Creativity and the ability to express yourself through the arrangement of your surroundings and your life is a gift that many in my family have been blessed with. My paternal great-grandmother and grandmother created the most beautiful clothing, carefully drawing it out before cutting the fabric. My father painted and gardened, touching so many people with the beauty of his creations. I enjoy painting canvas and porcelain, and also thrill at redesigning my landscape each Spring and Fall. We all have an innate desire to surround ourselves with the beauty of our own creation, and we have been blessed with partners who enjoy creating with us. What a blessing this is!"

1960s Vintage Fashion Jewelry Illustration Winner
Janie Bowthorpe Moab, Utah
Question: What era of fashion did you like the best?
"I loved the fashion era of the 60's! Bright colors, daring hemlines, fun designs of paisley, fishnet hose, go-go boots, Mary Jane shoes and Gunni Sax long dresses were in style. Does anyone remember the year we wore decorative bloomers that might have matched something in the dress? I got sent home for wearing that one!"
Jazzy Jewelry and expert advice Winner
Carolyn Parkin Hueytown, AL
Question: What's your most prized jewelry possession?
"I have a dime attached to a large safety pin that is more precious to me than diamonds. When we first got married, I opted for a stove, refrigerator and washer instead of a diamond ring. My husband promised me a diamond by the time we were married 10 years. By our 10th anniversary, we had a brand new house, two kids and a car payment. My husband presented me with a beautiful box with the dime attached to a safety pin. This was my "dime-on-pin". He did it as a sort of joke but I wouldn't trade it for the largest diamond in the world. He had remembered his promise and kept it with something he had made himself. We have been married 37 years now and I still wear it."
"Gone to Paris" recycled cashmere hat Winner
Jan Carson St. Louis, Missouri
Question: How do you avoid getting hat head from your winter cap?
"When my hair is very short, I can go to the Ladies Room, take off my hat, wet my fingers and run them through my hair. It reactivates the gel and I can finger comb it. As my hair gets longer, this does not work as well. I then end up being 'married to the hat'."
The most restful 2 - nights of your life giveaway Winner
Cathy Margolin Los Angeles, California
Question: What do you do when you're having trouble falling asleep at night?
"When I can't sleep it's always because I have too much in my head. I know I should stop working before trying to sleep. When I don't, a little lavender essential oil drops on my pillow and behind my ears starts the dreamy process. If I wake up with my head buzzing with ideas, deadlines, projects, etc., then I visualize. Each thought in my head is released on a kite string as I sit on my favorite beach in Hawaii, watching the most beautiful sunset. As the sun sets, so do I. My thoughts that were keeping me up are safely attached to the kite, retrievable if I need them the next day."
Winter warmers worth $700+ Winner
Ilene Schwartz Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Question: Do you loose your gloves every season
or do you have them for years?
"At the end of the winter season, when I take my jackets and coats to the dry cleaners, I typically find a missing glove in a pocket. I even found a $20 bill once. However, by then, I have gotten rid of the gloves' mate. I have to go out and buy a new pair of gloves at a winter end sale, literally using my $20 pocket money. One time I thought that I had lost a pair of gloves but found them months later in the glove compartment of my car. Now I know why they call it the glove compartment!"

Susan Olson Little Rock, Arkansas
Question: Which item do you prefer to read - an e-reader or an old fashioned, page turning book?

I still read my old fashioned hard and soft cover books too. There’s just something about holding and reading a nice book."

It was a beautiful thought and I wore it (yes I did) to her New Year's Party. What did it matter what others thought about it; it was my friends feelings that were important."
NYC Shopping Tour Winner
Alicia Brandt Ely Los Angeles, California
Question: Where's your favorite place to find a great deal?
