frontgate.com is a good source for a wide variety of decorative items and household goods as is potterybarn.com. Their products are good quality and design, and well-priced. Also try Google or Yahoo Search for specific items.
wisteria.com, gdchome.com, CB2.com and of course, anthropologie.com a few of my favorite online sites for home accessories and I own a retail store, so that is saying a lot considering I've seen just about everything that is out there.
I just LOVE etsy.com. There are so many completely unique items and I sometimes develop relationships with the sellers. We trade stories & ideas back and forth. So fun!
I like wisteria.com, frontgate.com and frenchgardenhouse.com. These are a few of my favorites, they have a wide selection of items in many price ranges. Looks like everyone has some great ideas, have fun!
HI Terry, I also like One King's Lane and West Elm. Z Gallerie is a great site that offers value for money, classic design with a contemporary feel. They have some retail locations too. Enjoy!
Try Tonichome.com, Chiasso.com, and there's always Horchow.com. These 3 sites span the decorating spectrum. I remodeled a powder room with an Art Deco touch through HomeDecorators.com. Good luck and hope this helps.
On the retail end Ballard is a good one, & Shades of Light also. I can order many things though that you will never see anywhere else- that's what designers are good at! I just got back from the Atlanta Market & saw so many wonderful unique things, so if there's something specific you want please let me know.
For fabulous handmade art, crafts, jewelry and clothing, try artfulhome.com. Wisteria.com has a great selection of unique accessories, as does jaysonhomeandgarden.com. For Asian-influenced furniture and artifacts, try tealan.com and greenteadesign.com. Naturalfinefurniture.com has a nice selection of nature-inspired accessories and furniture.
My favorite place to shop for home goods and very unique furniture, glasses, just about everything is Pier One, I found so many different items on their website that I knew I would have a very hard time finding else where. When my sisters birthday came around she lives in Florida and loves unique items especially vases, I found a vase she now displays when you enter her home, the vase stands 4 foot high and 2 foot wide, the shape and color is amazing. Take a look at their website you may love what they have or you may have a different style, either way, enjoy.
Hi Terry, sounds like many of my faves have already been mentioned. In addition, try art.com for affordable wall art. Don't forget to support your local small boutiques for truly unique items as well!!
Hi Terry - I would try roomandboard.com, wisteria.com, jaysonhomeandgarden.com, circalighting.com and shadesoflight.com and thecompanystore.com. Happy decorating!
I love Ballard Designs which has beautiful decor! I also really like Art & Artifact and Grandin Road. You can also try Ikea and Crate and Barrel which have nice items. I hope this is helpful!
Terry--
If you like West Elm, then my first suggestions would be the similar sites that are retail stores as well: Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn, and Restoration Hardware. I have used the first two stores for accessorizing for my photo shoots; they have some interesting pieces in a reasonable price range.
You could look into GiltGroupe.com; for this one, you need to become a member.
West Elm tends to be a more modern look, so you might like HiveModern.com. A good site for accessories is CyanDesign.com. I have discovered a really beautiful & unique store located in Little Washington, Virginia, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains, they have nice artwork, accessories and beautiful French table linens: the site is rhballard.com.
Let me know if you want more ideas! Faye Siegert, CID, ASID
I love Joss & Main and The Foundary. Those, along with One Kings Lane start my day off at 11:00 am. And don't you love the Tastemaker Tag Sales at OKL!!
Not sure where your located but try:https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Fabuless-Finds-Boutique/165300310153513 every thing here is handmade. Very creative both owners are beautiful and honest people.
Finding great websites depends on what style you are looking for. West Elm has decor and accessories with fairly clean lines and contemporary styles. If you like West Elm, you may also like cb2.com,HELTON.com and DWR.com.
If you like One King's Lane, which is more traditional, you may also like Wisteria.com, pineconehill.com, dashand albert.com, cottagehomemaine.com or horchow.com.
I like Ballard.com, Pier One, art.com, Overstock.com, and even JCPenny (especially the outlet sections). Depending on your pocket book, these sites give you great ideas to duplicate. I usually then go to Home Goods or TJ Maxx and look for something similar.
It has taken more than a minute to answer. but you should take a look at Crate & Barrel http://www.crateandbarrel.com/, and their more contemporary sister company, http://www.cb2.com/. You can also take a look at Shades of Light for lighting and rugs, http://www.shadesoflight.com/. Beyond West Elm, there are all of the sister companies at William Sonoma, take a look at this link and the others listed at the bottom of their site, http://www.wshome.com/. Lastly you can also take a look at Room and Board, http://www.roomandboard.com, they have a bit of everything. Happy looking.
Hi Terry! A couple of sites that I haven't seen listed yet- jonathanadler.com is just a blast, Horchow.com offers an enormous selection of 'glitz', but wait for their frequent sales, and lillianaugust.com covers a variety of looks each season. They also have a 'flip catalog' with great ideas of how to put looks together. All the best-Theresa
Don't buy mass produced. Buy unique and different. I buy many of my accessories at Goodwill. Carefully chosen, mind you, but you can find some nice colored glass and vases upon close examination. When put together carefully, you'll love it and it's one of a kind. Not to mention how much fun it is to hunt for great pieces. Find photos you like, then go hunt for "The Look for Less" at a thrift store. It's my favorite thing to do.
