Does anyone besides me refuse to wear polyester? I live in Houston and find cotton, silk and wool to be the only clothes that hold their shape and look and feel good . I can handle some blends, like cotton jeans and lycra… any one find any man made fibers that work?

Hello! Yes, I hear you loud and clear. I feel the same way about the poly products. Having lived in Florida they can be most uncomfortable. I really like rayon/viscose clothing. It is a semi-synthetic and I find a great alternative to polyester. It also drapes well and rayon jersey feels like cotton. Hope this helps!
Thanks for the response.. got any brand names you recommend? I am most interested in a nice dress and tops ... I have the jeans/shorts/skirts thing down..
I am a lot like you in that I find that natural fibers are the only ones that I like except I do like Viscose/rayon. I live in Sacramento, California and it is very hot in the summer. I especially like clothing sold by the Loft. Great styles. Good luck.
You didn’t mention a preference in style of clothing, for instance, casual vs. business professional so I am going to suggest some dresses by a brand that can make the jump between both.
Modal jersey is a lightweight fabric that holds it’s shape. And it moves!
Rachel Pally makes lovely dresses fit for just about any occasion. Here are few looks here:
I'm with you; it just doesn't work! Am all over silk, cotton, linen, etc. Ralph Lauren has fab blouses, Chico's some lovely clothes for basics. However, I shop everywhere!
I actually need business professional and casual… Andy, Ralph Lauren is my go to line! I think I am just going to stick with it! Styleosphy, thanks for the Rachel Pally recommendation, i will check it out!
