Tester: Rula Joseph, hairstylist and co-owner of Emile Salon & Spa in Birmingham, MI

"The flat iron has been great! I love the weight distribution. The design on the outside is smooth and seamless and no controls are in the way that could change the settings or shut off when I'm using it."

"FOF sent me the new Pro Beauty Tools Straightener to test and report on. I straighten my hair every day so I was happy to oblige! Here’s what I thought . . ."

Overall: "This iron is great."

Pros:

  • "It worked quickly and got my hair poker straight.
  • At $55, the price is nothing for a good quality iron! It was just as effective as my normal iron from FHI, which cost me about $200.
  • It had a wider surface than my regular iron, which I liked better.
  • I travel all the time, and I could fit it in my bag."

Cons:
  • "It doesn’t have a thermostat."

Tester: Terry Gibralter
"I actually thought it was great! Easy to use, gets hot fast and it gave my hair a nice smooth curl that stayed. The only thing I find odd is that there is no heat control function. That's really not a problem for me because my hair can take a lot of heat but others might find it to be an issue."

The Pro Beauty Tools Straightener is currently available at Harmon and Fred Meyer stores.

Very hot!
"I am not experienced at using these and it is very quick and easy. But seems to get awfully hot, with no way to lower the heat."

Shorter hair ~ more style ~ better tools
"I just turned 50 in May, and got my hair cut just below my ears...I feel so much lighter, and the style allows me to curl it under, flip it up, or straighten it...I've been using my daughters straightener, but she has moved out ~ I would love to try this out and show the variety of styles that it can create. Thanks!"

New Do
"I recently had my hair cut and styled with a flat iron, for the first time. I love the look a flat iron gives, but I do not have one to use at this time. My hair is naturally straight but frizzes. I would love to try this product."

Flat Iron Queen
"I currently own own 5 flat irons. 2 high end, 1 moderate priced, 1 travel, and one mini. I am always on the lookout for a good flat iron. My current fave is not a high-end model which just goes to show you...."

Straighten me!
"My daughter and I both use straighteners. I would love to find one that's larger surfaced than the one I have. My hair is longer and this would be terrific!"

"I received a Pro Beauty Tools Straightener to test drive. I LOVE it! The straighter heats quickly and because it's ceramic, it doesn't dry my hair out. I use mine ALL the time now."

Finally straight hair
"I commented once about a straightner I purchased in the past, what it did was actually burn my hair alittle and it took forever to straighten. This Pro Beauty Tool Straightner sets itself apart from the rest. I love straight hair when I go out to dinner or just feel like spending the day with a beautiful new look. I would love to try this, my daughter loves doing my hair and when I showed her this the other day, she said "MOM, please you have to enter, these are the best tools out there, she is 25 years old and always changes her hair, she refuses to use the straightner I bought, she said it is not good for your hair, the heat is uneven it is burning your hair, just think what I can do with your hair now Mom with a professional Pro Beauty straightner" So with that I am really hoping to try this and report back with a photo of my new-do, so to speak, thank you very much."
