Hairstylist Sally Hershberger is famous for giving Meg Ryan her signature shag, and for being the first stylist to charge $600(!) for an appointment. Now the stylist-to-the-stars is launching her own hair care line, which promises to “offer every woman across the country the tools to recreate the aesthetic of her coveted styles.”

The products are grouped according to “hair type,” with options for “Normal to Thin,” “Normal to Thick,” and “Wavy.” We sent shampoo, conditioner and styling products to a group of our FOF Road Testers. Here’s what they had to say: . . .

Tester: Julie Willis
"I liked the way my hair felt after using the shampoo and conditioner. The most impressive quality was how light and clean my hair became. The conditioner was totally weightless unlike other brands, which make my hair feel heavy. It left no residue and softened and detangled my hair. I am very impressed with the Sally Hershberger Line and will be adding them to my shopping list from now on. "

"The Sally Hershberger products worked very well for me. My hair felt clean and bouncy. I have color treated, dry, curly hair. My hair--which tends to be frizzy--was kept under control. My only complaints were the strong perfume that they use (I have allergies) and the stiffness of the bottles that made it difficult to squeeze out the product. "

"My hair is fine and flat. I am the queen of hair products that claim to add volume. I have two shelves in my bathroom devoted to various products, from expensive beauty salon recommendations to drug stores specials. I'm always looking for the magic bullet. I happily adopted the Sally Hershberger products and added them to the front of my shelf. I like these products a lot. No one is going to mistake my hair for Jennifer Aniston's, but these products are working fairly well. They’re not sticky and feel natural. My hair looks fuller and has more body. This is a product that I will continue to use. "

"I like these products very much. I have color-treated hair and I found that it was smoother and shinier after using the Sally Hershberger products. I like that they do not have a strong scent so they don’t compete with other products that I use. The product is a good size for the price. The shampoo lathers well and rinses thoroughly. The conditioner leaves my hair tangle free and easy to manage. I have short hair that I partially style with my hands. The style primer helps me to accomplish this. "

"My hair is fine, thin and wavy, and I was anxious to see how the products were going to work for me. I was pleasantly surprised as they enhanced my waves and improved the texture and volume of my hair. My daughter even remarked that my hair looked fuller and thicker. I am now an elated fan of the Sally Hershberger line of hair products."

"I have Normal to Thick hair, no matter what I try in my price range my hair still looks like a lion's mane, I need help from Sally's Products. Very fine, thin, straight hair--Help!
"I have very fine, thin reddish-blonde hair that used to be naturally curly but now (due to medications I have to take) is straight as a string--all except the hairline in back where I still have a little curl/wave. However, my hair still gets frizzy after shampooing and in damp weather. "I have a tough combo: fine, dry, curley hair. This means I need to straighten after each shampoo - but (because it's fine and dry) I have to be super careful. Maybe Sally's shampoo products can cure the dry issue, and her flat iron may be gentle enough to help me tame my mane with TLC."

Medication Results
"I always had healthy hair. I had a full head of thick bouncey hair with lots of volume. Any cut would suit me and my hair always was manageable. I'd compliments on my hair 2 or 4 tines a week for years. Recently my hair is lookong dry and has a lot of breakage. Lots of fly aways. So, for months I've been trying every shampoo and conditioner to see if I can get some shime back and tame the breakage. Nothing has resolved my problem. Then, this week it hit me. I've been taking lots of pills since a bad accident. I take about 25 pills a day. I heard once that medication causes change in hair. My hair was the envy of my sisters and friends, I would appreciate the opportunity to try your products. Maybe your products would be the answer to my over dosed hair.
