Dr. Spenler’s medical career started in 1964, when he began pursuing his medical degree at the University of Iowa School of Medicine. His extensive training and experience include an internship at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, a surgical residency at the Los Angeles County Harbor General Hospital through the UCLA School of Medicine, a fellowship in aesthetic facial surgery and a residency in plastic surgery at the UCI School of Medicine. He also served in the U.S. Navy and has held such positions as medical director, chief of emergency medicine, and trauma surgeon at various institutions.
Moreover, Dr. Spenler is board certified in General Surgery, Emergency Medicine and Plastic Surgery and has practiced in the South Bay area for over 20 years. He is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Burn Association.
