I’m not sure if this is a plastic surgeon questions . I have serious frown lines on my forehead and it looks ugly… I was wondering if there is some type of surgery or something that can be done to remove it permanenly ? I dont want to waste money on botox and that honestly is the only thing that I hate with my face. I heard that they can do something to deaden the nerve. It’s embarrassing and I always wear bangs because of it. I feel I am rather attractive but would be even more interesting if it was taken care of… Recently I went through a divorce and will be 50 this year. I live in Kentucky. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

    Hello,
Doing a trial of Botox will be informative, whether the cause of the forehead lines is due just to overactivity of the muscles, or if the skin is deeply creased too. If it is just overactivity of the muscle from expressiveness, then Botox may be very cost effective and low risk. If there is deep wrinkling of the skin, then adding some volume back, de-activating the muscle, and perhaps tightening the skin may all be recommended.
