Hawklady SAID:

I’ve had a lumpectomy and subsequent radiation. I’ve been told that the radiation makes the likelihood of a good outcome unfavorable. Are there new procedures that can mitigate that?

yes, there is hope. Fat grafting has very favorable results in radiated tissue. Using fat taken from another part of your body, the fat “seeds” can be transplanted into the radiated lumpectomy site and can actually improve the quality of the skin and the softness of the surrounding breast. No hospitalization is required.
