beautyfirst SAID:

I’m thinking of having breast implants removed because they have become uncomfortable. What is the procedure, and do you usually put smaller implants in place of the existing ones?
Thank You

Thank you for your question about removing your breast implants. There are several approaches depending on your situation. 1. if you don’t want implants any more, they can be removed. A small breast lift is usually a good idea as the skin will have stretched. 2. If you like the implants but they are too large for you now, changing to a smaller size is easily done. 3. if the implants hurt because of a capsule (hard scar that can make a breast firm and painful), release of the capsule may be needed – plus changing to a different implant or placing it under the muscle. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

We women are incredibly aware of our breast appearance — maybe even more than men are. Breasts are sexual and sensual, a big part of what makes us women, and they can dictate our sense of attractiveness and desirability (for better or worse). There are various factors regarding how you want your breasts to look and feel, but if you and your doctor have a good, open line of communication, you shouldn’t need to go back and forth on your decision.

It is now possible with the newest technique for you to enlarge your breasts without resorting to implants! Specially prepared fat taken from another part of the body, such as the stomach or hips, is placed under the breast tissue to provide increased breast size without the need for artificial implants. The technique is called autologous fat transfers and autologous simply means “your own.” And who doesn’t have a little fat to spare?
