I am a 40 yr old diabetic and will like to have a tummy tuck with fat transfer to the butt. I had liposuction before with fat transfer to the butt but I did not not get the result I was looking for, my butt is still flat. I am trying to go international to find a doctor.

Buttock fat transfer can be sometimes unpredictable. Some amount of fat always resorbs (goes away). If your diabetes is under control, it should not be a factor in your surgery. If you are willing to send pictures, we are able to provide a quote and do an on-line modified quote.

Thank you for your question. I do not have a recommendation for you regarding fat transfer to the buttocks because I do not perform this procedure. Fat transfers in my opinion can end up with unpredictable results (and often undesired results). Therefore I do not perform this procedure. Tummy tucks are a common part of my practice so if you decide against the fat transfer contact our office for a free consultation. Good luck to you

Why go abroad when you have many good surgeons in your own neighborhood? Your diabetes places you at increased risks for complications so it makes sense to stay home. As for the procedures, well controlled diabetics have elective surgery as long as they are accepting of the risks. Butt lifts are risky for extremely poor scarring so be wary of that. If you do have grafting, its advisable to avoid laying on the grafted areas as it will diminish the ‘take’. Best wishes!

If your diabetes is well controlled and you have no other medical issues then you are a possible candidate for tummy tuck and buttock augmentation. Depending on your anatomy you might be able to have buttock augmentation by re-arrranging skin and fat in the buttock area. This might provide more volume than fat grafts. I would not recommend buttock augmentation with implants.
