What is the best procedure to tighten the jowls area? Would a laser treatment be better or a lower face lift?

A facelift is the best option to tighten the jowls area. For minimal jowling, there are non-surgical options such as fillers and fractional laser, though these are temporary and you may find you will still be needing to plan on a facelift in the future. The best procedure for you is best determined by consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.

It is hard to recommend the best procedure for you without seeing photos. Depending on a number of factors like; age, skin elasticity, amount of correction needed, etc. There are none surgical and surgical options which you can explore. If you are not ready to do surgery to correct your concerns with the jowl line, you might want to look into something like Ultherapy. It would be best to have a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to determine the best procedure for you.

    Best of luck!

In order to determine which procedure(s) you may benefit most from, it would be necessary to evaluate you in the office. It sounds as though you may be a candidate for a facelift.

The surgical procedures i.e.some form of facelift will give the best results. But a facial rejuvenation can also include lasers, fillers, and skin care. A consultation to discuss options is always best.

Jowls are a result of not only skin laxity but also underlying soft tissue and fatty tissue descent. Your best results would definitely come with some form of a facelift. The exact procedure would depend upon the appearance of the cheek above this and the neck below.
