Hello,

I recently had a tummy tuck with lipo and wanted to know what I can use to keep my belly button open because it appears to be closing and how long does it normally take for the swelling to go down?

My colleagues have given you good advice. Speak with your surgeon. It is impossible to advise you without an examination, and the surgeon who performed the procedure would be the best place to start.

I agree with my colleagues. You should ask your surgeon as he or she is best able to answer your questions. If you still remain unsure, we would be able to see you for consultation.
    Thank you.

Sounds like two questions you should ask your surgeon. I assume you are following up with him and at one of those visits ask him. One of the most important things when picking a surgeon is to feel comfortable asking them questions and having them answer your and allay your fears.

Sorry to hear that. I’m not exactly sure what you mean by “closing”, but this could certainly be attributed to swelling which could take 3-6 months to resolve. I do not know of anything specific or worthwhile that you could do to improve this situation. However, you should definitely discuss this with your surgeon.
