I had double eyelid surgery 12 days ago and my eye crease looks a little high, eyes look sunken in and the crease looks rather deep. I’m freaking out and very depressed! Is this normal????
The first step is to discuss your concerns with the plastic surgeon who performed the procedure. Find out whether fat was removed, or just repositioned, and what their evaluation of the crease position is. In most cases it is best to wait at least 3 months before considering any sort of surgical revision, as many concerns settle with the healing process. If at that point you are unhappy with the appearance, and not satisfied with the advice you are getting from your surgeon, you should consult another board certified plastic surgeon for a second opinion.
