I am still a Really Really High Heel Platform Shoe Girl! And I have been since 1972- I’m 4’9 1/2″ tall, and I did the Snoopy Happy Dance when they came back into style in the early 1970s! I knew my hubs was The Guy For Me (I was 42 & he was 55) when he took me shoe shopping and bought me a pair of 6″ stilettos (what my gay friends called- admiringly- “fetish pumps” LOL) at a shop called Religious Sex in the East Village in NYC. 🙂 Shoes DO make the woman! LOL When I was in the hospital in 2006, and almost died, after I came off life support (5 days) and was learning to walk (and breathe…) again, hubs brought me a pair of my Crazy Shoes, and set them at the foot of my bed to cheer me up (which they did- immensely), and then helped me learn to walk in them again! We tottered up and down the hall together, and the nurses cheered- and loved him to pieces for that- I was “me” again! 🙂

I would wear heels if I could, but I can’t so I make due with comfortable flats and wedges.
