Hi – I’m on the East Coast, so I’ll begin by recommending online resources. Full Sail University is respected in the creative community and offers an online bachelor’s degree in creative writing. If you don’t want to pursue a degree, there are many other options. University of Phoenix also offers online writing courses. You’re in the L.A. area; if you’re interested in screenwriting, check out the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program. Plenty of workshops are available in your area as well. You also may be able to audit a class at Cal State. Good luck!
