My niece attends a large university in her home state that most definitely does not inspire her. She’s looking for a smaller school on a beautiful campus that caters to higher thinking. Christy is drawn to the human sciences and business. Any ideas for this exceptional young woman?

I have two daughters at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio–one starting her 5th quarter and one newly arrived. It’s definitely not for everyone, but it’s been transformative for my daughter: she’s inspired, engaged, and working harder than she ever has. Check out the website http://antiochcollege.org/

Some of my favorite campuses and schools are; University of San Diego, Pomona College in Claremont CA, Duke’s campus is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen, Davidson College has a beautiful campus but is sort of in the middle of nowhere. University of San Diego is gorgeous, has amazing location and a top notch business school.

Thanks very much. From Michigan, Christy is not looking to go as far West as California, however, she is interested in Duke and other schools located in a warmer climate. That said… looking up Davidson College right now! Thanks much for your thoughtful response.
