DrupalWomenQ-#9246

I am not sure if it was here or on another ezine I receive, but a new book was being touted and friendships between women. It was a collection of short stories I believe, all by the same author. Does anyone know the name of the book and/or the author’s name?

Not sure but these might help: The Faith Club a Muslim, a Christian, a Jew-three women search for understanding by Tanya Idliby. Suzanne Oliver & Priscilla Warner,
Birdie’s at Noon-the personal stories of four women too young for breast cancer by Patti Balwanz, Kim,Callous, Jennifer Johnston & Jana Peters, Truth & Beauty by Ann Patchett (about her friendship with writer Lucy Greatly). Community &Women’s Friendships:Parallels & Intersections in Literature and Life by Janet Doubler Ward.
You can also try girlfriendology.com/…/books for women and BookBabes-list of books on female friendship. Hope that helps.

I believe you are looking for the book, She Matters: A Life in Friendships, by Susanna Sonnenberg. She writes about the many female friendships that she has had over her life, some that lasted and others that did not, but all of them affected her life. I have not yet read it.

Thank you for your reply. I remember that in describing the book, it said that some friendships are not meant to continue, some friends serve different functions in your life, etc. Does that ring any bells with anyone?
