{Poll} Which FOF celeb home would you most want to move into?

These five FOF celeb homes were recently listed….. If money were no object (it’s fun to play pretend!) which one would you move into? Answer our poll below.

Remember the breathtaking Malibu beach house in Sex and the City, where Samantha Jones lived with her beau, Smith Jerrod? That was no movie set. The five-bedroom, six-bathroom beachfront shangri-la is real… and for rent! You’ll need to shell out $55,000 each month, but, hey… you can’t put a price on fame…er… pretending to be famous. Then again, you’ll hardly need to pretend — it comes with all the original furniture from the movie. Strut like Samantha, passed your enormous glass wall with breathtaking ocean views to the bar (cosmo…anyone!?).  Unfortunately, Dante, the showering next-door neighbor, is not included!

Joan Rivers’ Upper East Side apartment is certainly a Piece of Work. The 5,190 square foot apartment, on the market since 2009, was featured in a 2010 documentary about Joan, by that name. The pad was restored to its original architectural detail by museum-trained artisans, “unlike Joan’s face,” according to a New York Magazine article which goes on to call the décor “surprisingly old-lady Versailles.” Still, the penthouse boasts a suite of superb reception rooms, a dramatic two-story gallery, a light-flooded living room, a spacious paneled library and a formal dining room. To top it all off is a terrace with majestic views of the city and Central Park…umm, “can we talk?

Was T.V. queen Sharon Osbourne off-her-rocker when she bought this Hidden Hills home in 2003? She and Ozzy have barely stayed there, renting it out to tenants for $25,000 to $40,000 a month for the past eight years. This year, just weeks after the British pair were slapped with a $1.7 million dollar tax lien, the 4,500 sq. ft., 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom home was listed for $10 million. No rock paraphernalia here, but you will find a huge gourmet kitchen, a garden terrace, a hot tub and a large master suite with walk-in closets and a marble bath.

In 2009, 92-year-old Hungarian-born actress Zsa Zsa Gabor was reported to have lost $7 million in the Madoff Ponzi scheme. On top of that, the ailing actress’s “medical bills are mounting,” according to The Guardian. Did she list her Bel Air mansion to increase cash flow? Whatever the reason, the estate, once owned by Elvis Presley, was built in the “Hollywood Regency style” and has four bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, a pool and about 6,000 square feet of living space. But, is the property, currently listed at $15 million, cursed? The home was burglarized in February, and in late 2010 Prince Frederic von Anhalt (Zsa Zsa’s husband) thought he saw a massive snake on the mansion’s grounds. But, who cares about a little bad karma when you could be lounging by the pool where Zsa Zsa swam naked every morning, or entertaining guests where the Reagans, Bob Hope and Frank Sinatra partied.

When a 1938 hurricane wiped the Hepburn family’s summer home off the map, Katharine used toy blocks to show builders exactly how she wanted the house rebuilt. Now, Katharine’s dream home is on the market for $28 million. The sprawling waterfront Connecticut estate, where the actress died in 2003, has been extensively renovated by the current owners but maintains much of the historical integrity. If you’re not spooked by the prospect of Katharine’s ghost, then you may want to consider making this 8,000 square foot, six-bedroom, seven-and-a-half bath oasis your home. Stalled by the steep price tag? A sweeping view of the Long Island Sound and the original fireplace where Katharine was often photographed may seal the deal.

How very difficult to choose just one! I voted for Katherine Hepburn’s summer estate, but the lovely “close up” view and gorgeous light coming into Samantha’s makes it a very close second. That said, I think I’d delight in living in any of them if I could but afford those real estate taxes!!! Thanks FOF for helping us dream big!

Each of these homes has its own sophisticated beauty. Although, being a difficult choice to make, I felt as if Miss Hepburns’s home would allow me to feel most comfortable. Not being fortunate enough to have a memory as delightful as is Patricia’s, her lovely tale sealed it for me. Having been to this charming home in the past, and holding such a precious memory, I envy her encounter there. This home could only have good karma about it!

I think Hepburn’s home looks so comfortable and relaxing. I could definitely enjoy being there. Joan’s place looks gawdy to me and Zsa Zsa’s place is not my style. The other two are beautiful but did not do anything for me.

    Samantha Jones’ Malibu Beach Home:
I love all of the natural light coming into this home; how could you NOT be happy here?! The interior design is contemporary, very sleek & sophisticated, yet warm & inviting with a nice casual vibe.

I LOVE the windows and the design of Samantha’s house. But if I were to spend that money, a pool is a must. I liked Kate’s estate, but it’s in snow country. I could live with the easy flow of Zsa Zsa’s mansion.

I am a beach woman, I have had the priviledge of going to Katharine Hepburn’s absolutly beautiful mansion. At that point in my life I held a night time route delivering papers. Because of how beautiful her home is I decided on our usual Sunday drive I would show my husband, we live in Waterford so it is only a 20 minute give or take drive, you can only go so far and look from a distance, when we arrived there, I lost my breathe, there she was, Kathrine at the beginning of her long driveway tending to her flowers, we slowly drove by and I said out of the window, good morning MS. Hepburn have a great day, sorry to bother you. Her response was, no darling you are no bother, I told her I delivered her paper each night, she said, thank you sweetheart my paper is very early and you have never missed a day, I know this sounds made up, it is not. My husband said quietly we need to go and not bother her, she heard him and recognized his Polish/Russian accent which started another converstion. She invited us up to her unbelievable mansion at first we declined and she told a man that was with her to bring us up. We followed him and she met us on the side of her home facing the ocean, I am born and raised and have lived by the Ocean my whole life, this view I never saw, it was beautiful. We spent at least an hour and we excused ourselves and thanked her. She signed my little cotton/linen napkin and she said something to my husband in his language I did not understand, they both laughed and we left, she gave us a hug and that was the best moment in time. Delivering all those years you never ever believed that you would meet in my opinion one of the greatest women in time, also the greatest actress, she is a beautiful woman inside and out. When I heard of her passing, yes I cryed, she had a way of making you feel as though you knew her personally and forever, Thank you MS. Hepburn, you gave my husband and I a day in our lives we will never ever forget, we still take our sunday drives and every once in awhile we will drive by her beautiful mansion.

I love Kate Hepburn’s home and her legacy. It think it had been destroyed in a storm and rebuilt. Who would not want to move into Katherine Hepburns home with all those memories her and where
Spency Tracy had been. All the homes are amazing
but I go for history, nostalgia, memories any time.

I love Kate Hepburn’s home because of the history behind it. It had been destroyed in a storm and rebuilt and she loved the isolation of it. I too love being alone and I’d adore knowing I was rambling around this wonderful home where Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy spent so much time!

I voted for Joan Rivers, not for the decor, but the location. It would be great to have a place in NYC.
