Can you recommend treatments that are particularly relevant for women over fifty?
There are certain areas that start losing collagen, especially for women after fifty, this creates lines and wrinkles. For the upper face, fine lines and forehead lines, we do a lot of botox treatments. A lot of times women over fifty feel that their eyelids are very heavy, and the way the botox is injected it can actually reshape the eyelid. It’s totally non-surgical.

Another common problem is flatness in the cheeks. With a variety of fillers, we have the ability to re-inject the area around the cheeks, the area around the mouth, and the corners of the mouth.  We have a variety of fillers like hydronic acid or rejuviderm.  Because both of these fillers are Hyaluronic based, a substance that occurs naturally in the skin and muscle tissues, most women are good candidates for these filler procedures.

With botox and fillers we can lift the face and make someone look ten to fifteen years younger without surgery. I always tell my patients that its sad to be aging, but great to be aging nowadays when there are so many non-surgical options.

What is a good product to shrink pores that come with age? I am 63 and my pores are now visible. I have always had dry skin.
Normally a lot of women that are having this problem can buy over the counter treatments, such as salicylic acid pads. Salicylic acid helps to soften skin cells so they shed more quickly, unclogging pores and reducing redness and inflammation. A product with retinol (which would be over the counter or prescription retin-a) increases cell production in the top layer of skin. Cells look smoother and skin looks younger. However, the concentration of retinol in over-the-counter products is small, so you won’t get miracles. The most visible results come from prescription-strength retinoic acid. Those are the products that help to exfoliate the skin, unclog the pores, and will make the pores appear tighter.

What is the best product to instantly help puffy under eyes?
My favorite product is from a company called NeoCutis. A physician’s office would carry that. I like the NeoCutis Lumiere Eye Cream. It’s been voted best eye cream by Allure magazine for four years in a row.  It contains a lot of peptides, which helps skin grow its own collagen.

——————————————————————————————————————————————

Can you recommend a really good facial tinted moisturizer with sunblock?
NeoCutis Journee is my favorite moisturizer.  Not only is it tinted, it contains human growth factors and peptides for anti-aging and has an SPF of 30 for sun protection. It only comes in one shade, however. ColoreScience Primer Wild-to-Mild is another product that’s good and although it is not marketed as a moisturizer, it moisturizes. It comes in different shades, and because it’s very moisturizing you can use it under makeup or instead of makeup, because it has mineral sunblock.

Is there an inexpensive treatment for milia?
Normally milia is just whiteheads of clogged pores. Some moisturizers can be too heavy, which will clog the pores and cause milia.  One of the moisturizers that is notorious for causing milia is Clinique Dramatically Different. If you have milia and are using this, you should stop.  If you’re prone to getting milia, you should get retin-a or retinol cream. It will help your pores. The best way to get rid of this skin condition, would be a good facial. Our physicians are trained by a medical staff to make a tiny opening in the skin an extract it.

What firming cream would you recommend that works best for the jaw line?
A sagging jaw line is tough. I don’t know if a facial cream by itself would help. NeoCutis Bio-Restorative Serum would probably be the best.  But if it’s really saggy, you would need to do fillers, botox or maybe even laser treatments to tighten the skin.

——————————————————————————————————————————————

I agree that it’s a good product if you have very sensitive or dry skin. It’s a really great plain moisturizer for body and face. If you’re looking for even more rejuvenating properties its probably not enough, but for dry skin, eczema, or itchy skin, it’s great.

——————————————————————————————————————————————

I need a face moisturizer that has SPF in it, is not expensive, and will not cause my eyes to water. Something in moisturizers always causes my eyes to water, what could it be?
It could be a variety of things–different moisturizers contain different ingredients. When looking for a moisturizer, stay away from fragrance, because a lot of people are allergic to that. If the moisturizer is scented, that could be one of the things that are causing the eyes to water. But, it’s hard to tell, because there are so many different ingredients. Try something very basic. Vaseline might be a good, inexpensive product.

What is the best way to get rid of facial hair?
If your facial hair is dark, then the most effective way would be laser hair removal, because it’s a permanent treatment. The laser actually looks for the pigment when it destroys the hair–the lighter the skin, the more contrasted the hair, the better results. The laser cannot differentiate between the dark skin and dark hair, so it can leave people uneven.

If the hair is light or grey, then the laser is not going to work. There are other options like electrolysis, which would be more permanent, or waxing.

——————————————————————————————————————————————

How do you get the brown spots off your hands?
Normally the dark spots on the hands are tough to cure with products. The best cream would be NeoCutis Blanche. If the spots are not that dark, try products with alpha hydroxy. I recommend 5-2 pads, containing glycolic and salicylic acids, and Vivite Vibrance Therapy. If everything fails, there are lasers that work wonders with one treatment.  IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Lasers work great to treat sun spots or to prevent sunspots from coming to the surface.

——————————————————————————————————————————————

What is an anti-aging treatment you have tried and can say has actually worked?
There’s no one stop fix. You need to use a combination of products. Use a sunblock for protection, a mild cleanser that will help with exfoliation, and then skin care with peptides and vitamin C.  TNS Essential Serum contains peptides, antioxidants, including vitamin C, and growth factors, all of which are excellent anti-aging ingredients.

For someone who has a little sun damage, they could do really well with treatments like light chemical peels and microdermabrasion. If the patient has a lot of sun damage they should look into laser treatments, such as IPL.

You guys are mistaken, and should not be so hard around the author. This web-site would seem to become committed to stating their very own opinion, which the majority of us have. I hate when folks consider to speak lousy about another person due to the fact their belief differs from other folks. Take a look at all by yourself earlier than you are attempting to talk about another person.

Thanks a ton for your post. I’d really like to comment that the price of car insurance varies greatly from one scheme to another, since there are so many different facets which play a role in the overall cost. For example, the make and model of the vehicle will have a tremendous bearing on the cost. A reliable outdated family vehicle will have a lower priced premium than just a flashy performance car.
