A few months ago, we asked our FOFans who wanted to get rid of the frizz!  They tested The Coolway Smoothing System (retail value: $129.95), and the reviews are in.  See what our testers had to say!

1. Was the temperature of the flat iron lower than others you have used?
Yes, but I wish I could have been able to kick it up a notch.

2. Was your blow drying time significantly less with this system?
No, but I do like how the ‘Boost’ worked, it left me with less tangled hair.

3. After using this system, did the results last for days?
Two to three days, that’s all. My regular hot flat iron lasts for a week.

4. Did you notice less hair breakage?
Yes I did, and I consider that a huge plus.

5. What was your overall experience with this system?
I thought is was a great alternative to the usual nightmare I go through with my hair.

6. Would you purchase this product for $129.95? Why or why not?
No. The ‘Boost’ and ‘Transform’ products are what makes this work. I could just as well use them with my regular flat iron on a lower setting.

7. Would you recommend this product to other FOFS?
Yes. I have a feeling this product would work well for people with short, manageable hair. I have long, thick, fine hair with a mind of its own.

4- Good. Glad I tried it!

I would like to add the fact that the humidity levels in New York were outrageously high the first time I tried the Coolway Smoothing system, but the last two times, the humidity was lower and the results were the same. I also think they could make a few design adjustments on the flat iron. The plates could be wider, the cord should swivel and it needed some sort of rest or kickstand (LOL!) to keep it from falling over.

1. Was the temperature of the flat iron lower than others you have used?
Yes, I always used much hotter tools thinking they had to be really hot to work well.

2. Was your blow drying time significantly less with this system?
No, I didn’t see any difference in drying times for blow drying.

3. After using this system, did the results last for days?
No, the results did not last for days. I still couldn’t go any longer than every other day to wash my hair, so this didn’t change for me.

4. Did you notice less hair breakage?
Yes, there seemed to be less hair breakage and not so much hair in my brush while using this product.

5. What was your overall experience with this system?
It was just okay. My style definately did not stay for days. It didn’t seem to curl my hair as well as the hotter tools I have used. It did smooth and straighten.

6. Would you purchase this product for $129.95? Why or why not?
Since this product offers a trial free period to use it risk free, I would definately have bought it and tried it. If it cut my drying times and my style lasted longer, then it would definately be worth it, but I didn’t experience either of these when using the product.

7. Would you recommend this product to other FOFS?
I would tell people to try this product since everyone may have a different experience with this product. Especially if you can try it for 30 days risk free, why not?

When I heard about a flat iron that worked at a lower temp I was very enthused. As I get older I find my hair more fragile, so the low temp was important to me.

When I tried the flat iron I thought it worked well. Having to use the special treatment before is a little but if a turn off but the results proved worth it.

I will continue to use my Coolway Smoothing System especially when those frizzies threaten my “look”!

1. Was the temperature of the flat iron lower than others you have used?
I think so.

2. Was your blow drying time significantly less with this system?
not significantly, but less.

3. After using this system, did the results last for days?
yes

4. Did you notice less hair breakage?
yes

5. What was your overall experience with this system?
a little time consuming but good results

6. Would you purchase this product for $129.95? Why or why not?
I think that in the end I may have not purchased it because it costs more than regular flat irons and requires more prep and use of special fluids.

7. Would you recommend this product to other FOFS?
yes
