Erasa XEP 30 Wins Coveted Beauty Award

“Of the many anti-aging skin care products I’ve tested during the last year, a handful have stood out as exceptional performers. Erasa XEP30, formulated with ingredients similar to those of Botox, is one, so I wasn’t surprised to learn that it recently won Allure magazine’s coveted “Best of Beauty Breakthrough” Award for 2015!” said Geri Brin, founder of FabOverFifty.com

A Skin Care Line To Combat Winter Woes

As new skin care products come into the market to help aging skin, not to mention to keep younger skin looking good, it’s hard not to want to try each one.

Although we can’t do that, it is a good idea to rotate brands every few months, to stimulate the skin cells. Also, try to learn as much about each product’s ingredients before you buy it, since products work differently on different women.

We bring you information today about Junetics, an energy-powered skincare brand with a proprietary ingredient complex that boosts cell-to-cell communications, helping to restore the appearance of more youthful skin. By working on a cellular level, the Junetics line helps your skin cells regenerate and become stronger, and combats the signs of aging skin, including loss of radiance, uneven tone, lines and wrinkles, loss of elasticity, and diminished hydration. And since winter means dry skin for many of us, hydration is critical during this season. (more…)

The Problem With Vitamin C Serums Nobody Discusses

Ask any dermatologist to name her favorite nutrients for the skin, and vitamin C usually makes the list.  The popular antioxidant not only prevents or slows cell damage from the sun and pollution; it  also can help to rev up collagen production—think plumper, firmer skin!—and fade brown spots. What’s more, it’s been shown to increase the power of sunscreens, while boosting the skin’s natural defenses.

Vitamin C  definitely is one of most versatile skin care ingredients on the market-but only if it’s utilized properly.

Adore Yourself By Treating Your Skin To The Most Luxe Product On The Market

Based on everything I’ve read coming from the beauty industry. I predict that in the next 30 years beauty scientists will invent a way to keep our skin looking healthier, younger and vibrant for a very, very long time, without plastic surgery.

After all, our skin is an organ, so if a doctor can tell a FOF woman that she “has the heart or lungs of a 35 year old,” why can’t she have the skin, too?  We won’t die from an abundance of wrinkles, crow’s feet or puffy jowls, but it sure wouldn’t hurt if we could eliminate them–or prevent them from showing up in the first place– simply by rubbing a cream on our faces every day!

A Breakthrough Formula Gives Our Skin Cells The Energy They Need

The beauty industry is attracting more scientists than ever, who are studying the extremely popular subject of aging. Every day, we hear about new lotions, creams and serums that reportedly stall, or even reverse, the aging process as much as possible, at least when it comes to our skin, one of the most visible signs of getting older.

Although I wasn’t a stellar science student in school, I still work hard to understand the science behind the new beauty products we’re invited to cover for our wonderful community of women, 45+ . Even if we’re compensated to write about these products, I don’t like parroting a manufacturer’s claims that its formula reduces wrinkles and under-eye circles, as well as increases skin elasticity, for instance, without explaining how the product works–in simple, clear terms that make sense to all of us. Then, it’s up to you whether you want to try it yourself.

Of course, I know that even if I love a product, after using it for weeks and months, and swear that it has dramatically improved my skin, that doesn’t mean your skin will react the same way.

A few months ago, we offered ten lucky winners the chance to win Erasa XEP 30 ($160 for 1.7 fl oz), a revolutionary new skin cream with a neurotoxin similar to that of Botox.

A Former Insider Exposes Big Beauty Brand No-Nos

We recently sat down with beauty industry insider, chemist Jules Zecchino, who left Estée Lauder after 18 years to create a game-changing skin cream– a topical competitor to Botox, that  also improves skin tone, dark spots, and other problems Botox can’t fix. Jules holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Bridgeport and has helped develop dozens of products for Estée, Clinique, Vaseline, Elizabeth Arden, and Avon.

Why did you leave a leading beauty brand to start your own skincare line?

I always wanted to create products on my own, but first I had to learn the science behind great products. Big companies gave me the opportunity to study with the best teachers in dermatology departments at large universities, and to test thousands of compounds and their combinations, to see first hand what works, from the petri dish to clinical testing. It’s Finally Good To Be Venomous

Scientific research on autoimmune diseases uncovers breakthrough beauty discovery

“While using the venom from cobras to research treatments for autoimmune diseases, we stumbled upon something so significant we couldn’t just brush it aside,” said Dr. Paul Reid, a Florida-based neuroscientist and pioneer in the clinical study of snake venom. “We discovered that king cobra venom could not only visibly soothe skin, the unique cell-penetrating peptides in this venom could help enhance entire skincare regimens.”

Although synthetic venoms that contain only one or two lab-created peptides have become increasingly popular in the beauty industry, Dr. Reid’s proprietary formula, Venin Royale Concentrated Neuropeptide Renewal Serum, is the first to use all natural king cobra venom, which is packed with over 27 natural peptides and neuropeptides and is backed by decades of biotechnology research. According to Dr. Reid, it is this “cocktail of natural peptides” found in king cobra venom, which is impossible to recreate in a lab, that separates this natural skincare technology from currently available synthetic venoms and lab-created peptides.
