We chose Acquolina Hostaria for our first dinner in Rome because of its one-star Michelin status, and it surely lives up to its rating. Acquolina specializes in seafood served in unique ways. We ordered one of its tasting menus, which featured fresh and fantastically flavorful ceviche and razor clams with spaghettone cooked perfectly al dente.9

Considered by many to be the world’s best “street artist,” UK-born Banksy is being celebrated in the largest-ever exhibition of his works, through September 4th, 2016, at the Palazzo Cipolla in Rome. Titled War, Capitalism & Liberty, the show brings together over 120 pieces, including stencils, prints and sculptures, all from private collectors. Make sure to take the time to see and read the fascinating section that chronologically takes you through Banksy’s career.

The Tod’s (yes, it’s an Italian brand) shop at the Rome Leonardo Da Vinci Airport offers its comfy and uber cool footwear, handbags, and other accessories  for substantially less than you can buy them stateside. Driving shoes, in violet nubuck, definitely attract attention on the street.4
