{Test This} Dr. Tagliaferri’s Menopause Formula

Can I find a menopause supplement without potential risks?

Dr. Tagliaferri’s Menopause Formula ($79.98 for a 90-day supply) isn’t your typical menopause supplement. The plant-based proprietary formula, developed by renowned women’s health and botanical medicine expert, Dr. Mary Tagliaferri, is “designed for women who avoid hormone therapy for fear of breast cancer, heart disease, blood clots and stroke,” according to its manufacturer.

Combining the best of Eastern and Western medicine, the formula is based on traditional Chinese herbal remedies that have been used for thousands of years to treat menopausal symptoms. It reportedly helps “reduce hot flashes, night sweats, and irritability; improve quality of sleep, prevent menopause weight gain, and maintain energy.” It’s created by women, for women.

The recommended dosage is two capsules twice a day.

Will this be the magical master over your menopause? 10 FOFs will test this.

To enter to win,

What menopause symptom bothers you the most?

10 FOFs will win. (See official rules, here.) Contest closes February 12, 2014 at midnight E.S.T. Contest limited to residents of the continental U.S.

What doesn’t bother me? Can’t sleep, gained 20 lbs in a year, hot flashes all day and night time too. I’m 56 and went through menopause at 52 after a hysterectomy. Would absolutely love to give this a try. I won’t use hormones as I had a clotting issue with the pill when I was younger so it totally freaks me out.

I really, really cannot stand the hot flashes and night sweats. I will be in a meeting and a hot flash will hit me and my face turns red and everyone turns to look at me and ask what is wrong. How embarrassing!!! Would love to find something that would help besides a fan on my desk during the day and an ice pack at night.

I am one who decided against hormone therapy for menopause. The hot flashes, night sweats, and “brain fog” are horrible! One sad thing is that not one woman I know in either my mother’s generation nor mine has gone through this—every single one has either taken hormone replacement or had an hysterectomy before menopause. Some days the symptoms are almost bad enough for me to wish for the therapy myself.

The symptom that bothers me most is insomnia. If you can’t rest properly, everything suffers. Even if I race to bed at the first hint of sleepiness, I will wake 4 or 5 times a night. I have all the other annoying symptoms too. Intense hot flashes, night sweats, weight gain, loss of libido, etc., but the exhaustion of constant sleep deprivation is killing me.

The night sweats have slowed up, but hot/cold flashes and the insomnia is still nightly (so how adorable am I in the morning). The vaginal dryness wasn’t so bad, but eventually the painful intercourse got to be so much that my poor husband got a nasty look for smiling at me because I didn’t want to give him the wrong idea! Hair loss is now kicking in- mine was thin to begin with, so that is stressful. How do you pick one thing? This is like puberty-there are so many changes that is it difficult to hone in on one thing.

After all that, you’d think weight gain would not be a big priority. It is. I’d like to actually fit in my clothes. They call it middle age spread and that’s a good name for it. It has to stop spreading though.

58 y/o going thru menopause late. No symptoms at all till approx 2 yrs ago. Now I have them all. Debilitating hot flashes that so far have kept me from my usual volunteering in the newborn nursery at a local hospital (since it’s warmer in the nursery I was literally dripping). Night sweats, weight gain around the middle, etc. I have recently started HRT (my doctor asked me how my quality of life is with these symptoms and I had to admit she has a point). I think I’m going to stop with the HRT, tho, because my grandmother had breast cancer and my mother died of bc in 2012. How’s my “quality of life” when I’m afraid I’m a walking time-bomb? Help!

    REPLY
  39. Erin R. says:

Hot flashes, thinning hair and skin are probably the worst. I primarily won’t take any HRT because of its history of animal testing, in particular involving pregnant mares and their foals. I also do not like the health risks related to the use.

      Hi Barabara,

Anyone who works in the field of women’s health and menopause knows that the symptoms you are experiencing are associated with a decline in estrogen at the time of menopause. We specifically designed Dr. Tagliaferri’s Menopause Formula to address not only hot flashes and night sweats but also the energy decline, mood changes and decrease in libido that you are experiencing. That is the Traditional Chinese Medicine approach, treat the whole body and not just 1 symptom.

Many blessings for a rapid return to your own self.
