Dr. Piazza knew that he wanted to pursue becoming a doctor since he was very young. After ultimately deciding to become a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, he earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). While in medical school, Dr. Piazza and a few of his colleagues teamed up to resurrect the Plastic Surgery Interest Group, becoming very involved with the Division of Plastic Surgery at UTMB. This resulted in Dr. Piazza getting matched into a very presitigious plastic surgery residency at Michigan State University at the Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center.
Taking his knowledge, education, and experience back to his roots, Dr. Piazza opened his own private practice, The Piazza Center, in 2010.
