Good day!

Am a 44yo woman who frequently receives filler and Botox injections. I have a very high metabolism so the effects do not last last. 3 months at the most.
My surgeon has recommended Sculptra. I am in the middle of the road on my decision to go forward. What are your thoughts on the Sculptra?

Thank you for your time.

Facial Atrophy- Sculptra is a very good filler that will require multiple sequential injections. There are other fillers that can provide good results as well, including Voluma. You may also be a candidate for facial fat injection, which is performed as an operative procedure. This should be done in the hands of a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon or Dermatologist with expertise in the science of aging and understands correction of facial atrophy.

I, personally, am not a fan of Sculptra. It requires multiple injections over a fair amount of time before you obtain the fullness you desire. The results generally last about 2 years once obtained. I prefer either Radiesse or Juvederm Voluma. The results of both are immediate. Radiesse lasts about 18 months on average and Voluma usually lasts about 2 years, equal to Sculptra. I usually use Voluma.
