Would a brow lift be less invasive, but just as effective as having my droopy eyelids worked on? I already have dry eye – I’ve heard eyelid surgery can exacerbate the situation. Also, is it less costly?

A brow lift is a more invasive and slightly more expensive procedure. If your eyebrows are at or below the upper margin of the orbital rim then a brow lift is recommended. If you have excess skin in your upper eyelid, then a blepharoplasty is best. Many people have a combination of both.

Dear NM, The length of the surgery and recovery are roughly the same. The choice depends upon your physical exam during consultation. The position of your eyebrows currently determines the choice. Brow/Forehead lift raises the lateral eyebrow, softens crow feet, weakens the frown muscles, and reduced the transverse wrinkles of the forehead. I hope this has been helpful to you.
    Sincerely,
